    como wire

Please explain the difference between WD-1 and WD-1A. I see rolls of it in the scrap piles at Colemans all the time, just want to know what to look for when I head there next....

found a M123 in Winchester VA today...

Was driving south on Rt. 11 just south of Winchester VA and the sight of a large angular truck caught my eye. Turned out it was a 10-ton M123, which had been modded into a fire truck of some sort. There was a pump on the front and some form of bed put onto the back that looked like it had one...

I trust in god and the man who's flying that plane...

"Colombian pilots fly through storms in decrepit planes over dense forests..." Decrepit planes? That sucker is one of the most well-built tough-as-nails airplanes ever built in world history. I've seen pictures of them come home from war missions with large sections of them blown off and they...

    Gl has lost it!!

Retails prices are the high cost you pay for a smooth transaction. Surplus prices are the benefit you get with the high cost of the PITA it is to deal with GL. Enjoy!

    new mule hauler pictures

Pretty cool, but WAY too shiny for military mules! I'm with R Racing, needs to be OD!

    Front bumper mods

That's a lot of stuff on the front bumper. I don't have that much, I have to add the pintle hitch to the front, but the only additions I made were two bumper steps and lower shackles like the A3 has. Also have to weld on bumper guides like my first deuce had.

    M1082A1 recovery

So.... I guess R Racing got some free hydraulic fluid in the bed that he will have to wash out.

    2011 Haspin information/dates/attendance

Well, I am definitely out. I was hoping to sell a couple higher end items over here to fund the trip, but no buyers, and even if I did in the next week I have some other bills coming due that are priority. Wish things were better on this end, but until I get a J O B I can't rationalize...

    Armored/hybrid 800 series

Driver523 worked on it as a civilian contractor, it was an experiment to armor the M809 series trucks for convoy duty in Iraq. It never went anywhere. Here's a bigger pic.

setting up the M274 Mule for towing?

Thanks, Mutt! That's pretty cool, didn't know someone was already making them.

setting up the M274 Mule for towing?

Has anyone ever modified a Mule to tow a trailer behind it? It's kinda hard, being that the engine is in the back, but I think with a little ingenuity one could haul a small yardwork trailer, or a 1/4-ton jeep trailer, behind it for hauling firewood or boxes....

new mule hauler in the making

You should have them paint it green and be able to use jeep rims and tires, and composite mil-spec taillights. Just an idea. [thumbzup]

    Coming Attraction - project #6 M43 build

Great job so far on the M43 ambulance, zout! Makes me wish I never sold by meat wagon....

    helped on deuces, got a M105 !

With M105s as common as they are now, I don't blame you. Let the rusty one go to the woodchucks that would work it to death hauling firewood. However, 20 years from now, when the supply of fresh M105s is exhausted, there might be more of an effort to repair cancer like this in the surviving...

    Junkyard Find

The last pic is a mid-1960s Dodge Power Wagon ambulance body, they served in the Air Force for runway rescue/ambulance duty. Some even made it over to Europe and Vietnam during this time period. The junkyard one looks a bit rough, but here is what it looks like in its glory....

    2011 Haspin information/dates/attendance

Crossing my fingers that I can go, but right now I don't know if I have the cash to do it. It would cost $300 in fuel alone to get there, and that's in the civvy truck, not to mention food, babysitter for the tyke, entry fees, etc. I'll cross my fingers if it will help, but it's awfully hard...

    Anyone near Fort Meade

I might be able to help this coming week, but I might be headed in the wrong direction than you want it to go.

    Gun Jeep Seat

Looks like a helicopter or armor crew seat. Not sure which.
