    Fuel leak woes

Well, it rained pretty hard Saturday night and Sunday.. My work area turned to mud. So I didn't get a chance to do any work on it this weekend. This afternoon after work I may try to pull the HH and replace those viton rings. If I can get home by 6 I'll have about 2 1/2 hours before the sun...

    M35A2C Gushing oil

So when you say "two gaskets", do you mean two per filter? Last weekend I changed the oil on mine using wix filters I got from Amazon (same as the NAPA ones I believe). Each filter came with two gaskets, a thick one and a thin one. When I removed the filters, there was no thick one (just the...

    Fuel leak woes

Picked up a couple of sets of the Viton O rings from a shop here in Greenville, and 1/4 and 3/8 OD hose for the fuel lines. Just need to stop by Home Depot for the fittings and hopefully some brake cleaner spray on the way home, and I'm set. Hopefully I can get it all done this weekend.

    Fuel leak woes

I'm going to replace all those lines and fittings like you did I think. I was looking at mine after driving it home from work today and my leak looks like it could be from the base of the hydraulic head, or possibly the fuel delivery valve screw (that's the one in the side of the hh that...

    Fuel leak woes

Are you sure it's fuel? The steering boxes are fairly prone to leaking I think.

    Fuel leak woes

For the last couple weeks, I've been trying to track down a fuel leak. I'm starting this thread so that maybe down the road, someone can benefit from my experience the way I've done from reading other's posts here. Initially, I thought what I had was an oil leak. The drips were black...

    2 quarters

I'm guessing you meant this to be a PM. But now you've piqued my interest. What's the two quarter trick? BTW, bypassing the FDC doesn't mean you can't run different fuels. Pretty much no downside to it from all I've read.

Piston Rings Worn Out, Time for a Rebuild

If you want to prove it to yourself, maybe you could install the nozzle from the new one on to the old one. See if it improves.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Today I installed a replacement fuel gauge and fixed the lights on my trailer. Yesterday I did an oil/ filter change and degreased the motor to facilitate leak detection. No oil leak, but a pretty steady fuel leak. Dripping from the line that goes to the fuel filters from the ip fuel...

What are you using to check the pressure with? I was thinking of buying a tester from ebay or maybe trying to make one.

Piston Rings Worn Out, Time for a Rebuild

Was the original filter visibly dirty? Or did the indicator show it bad? Kinda curious whether the indicator is accurate. (In other words if it's not showing red, I can trust that the filter is ok)
