I traced the line to the slobber tube. At first I thought it was totally plugged. But it's not. I can hear and feel air at the end of the slobber tube when I force air through.

It rained. My work area is now mud.
I hear the whistling sound with the pump on and engine off.
I'm gonna try blowing out that line.

Thanks for the help guys,
I need to get under this afternoon anyway to tighten up the fittings by the IP (have a slow drip now). I will trace the lines and figure out what's what.
This just keeps getting stranger and stranger. Looking at the parts manual for LDS 465, the return line should be rubber. So the one that wasn't tightened down was the supply I guess.
I wiggled it and it literally came loose in my hand.
Doesn't make sense. As far as I can see there's only...
When I remove the fuel cap, should there be a vacuum?
I think the line that was off might be the return. Is the return a small copper line?
I had to run an errand during lunch and undid the cap to check fuel level. A lot of air sucked in and the truck seemed to run better. I wonder if...

This one:
I grabbed a wrench and threded it back in and tightened it, but I don't think...
Started putting the troop seats in.
Couple of the stake holes have rocks in 'em. Doh! Not sure how I'm gonna get them out. I used my golf words when I found this.
I got these back in today.. Amazing how much easier it is to work when there's light!
Also the tip to loosen the other 2 regulator screws helped a ton. I was able to get the holes lined up by rolling the window down, just to the right spot.
Thx guys!

I'm new here, but I've been reading about the fuel system today, trying to track down likely fuel leak culprits.
The fuel shutoff valve shaft O ring and the fuel density compensator are two things that can cause fuel in the oil from what I've read.
Mine's covering the driver's side front...
Added a 720W 24v to 12v converter along with a socket to plug a phone charger in.
While I was at it, I found that the battery terminals were loose (could rotate 'em by hand). Several terminals had corroded bolts and weren't adjustable anymore.
I decided to try a little parts store on the end of...
