I went out and looked at the date codes on these MTRs 4308,0308 all end in 08...so these tires are 10 years old? Jeez I should have stuck with the MTs...
One had a hole that didn't leak (completely) until it sat on the bottom. Another was cracked in two places in the sidewall. Another had a pin hole where the tread and the sidewall met. I was told by several tire shops that it is unsafe to repair a sidewall puncture. The sidewalls flex too much...
Ive been trying to replace my worn out MTs since April.
Got a set of 90% MTRs from Faith Tire via eBay. He sent an extra 70% tire for a spare (Nice!) After trying 2 of the tires I found they both had sidewall punctures.

Also I used a large jack stand to remove the rear of the wheel. The legs fit on the wheel surface betwix the studs. Hit the top of the jack stand with a sledge...pop off it goes! I used dielectric grease on the O rings. My Dewalt cordless 1/2" impact tool makes quick work on the retainer nuts...
Bought some MTRs for my M1008 unfortunately out of 7 tires I got two that hold air! 5 have sidewall damage!
Anyone have any tips for REMOVING Trailworthy PVC inserts? I used a floorjack to make them oval for the install but the only way I can get them out is to cut the sidewall on the tire. Ideas?
I bought the rebuild kit for the top of the injector pump from Gomers diesel back in 2001. It was leaking out of the throttle shaft.....Still working after 17 years...YMMV
