I wouldnt make this my first deuce trip but If you have your heart set on a deuce, get it from a reputable private seller, and check it over with a fine tooth comb before handing your money over, read, read, then read some more ( especially the recover stories on this site) make sure you have...
Hey, if there comfy and you can drive fine that's all that counts!! They look good in there, any pics of any mods you had to make to mount them or where you able to use the existing bt patterns
How are you trying to insure it? As a historic/collectible or as a FMV? Sounds like some pretty strict folks out your way. My policy states nothing bout it being a FMV, to them it's just a big truck, the only restriction is I can't use it commercially, other than that they didnt ask for milage...
i have state farm, they were great for me here in PA, I would assume there would be no problems with them for you. After reading many threads on similar insurance questions it seems state farm has come through for everyone that has tried them[thumbzup][thumbzup][thumbzup]
Just throwing it out...
Agreed, dont do give your hard earned money to a dealer like this, buy from someone trustworthy or buy when you physically see the truck and not a moment before
Depends..
Do you want to get into the gun side of things? If yes, I would obviously ge tthe one with the gun ring.
If no, I would get the lower milage truck and see if you can get the bed canvas thrown into the deal.[thumbzup]
And all the above is assuming there both mechanically sound...
I like that idea!! Except I think adding your user name would be a cool twist, and maybe look somewhat like it's supposed to be there? EX: SSPA-TLauden or something similar. IMHO that would look good in 1 inch stencils on each door centered at the bottom... Not to big or fancy but good for the...
No, didn't mix, haven't had to add any fluid, yet.. Once this is all over the system will probably need bled... I'm thinking I'm going to take this opportunity and pull both the air pack and master cylinder and with the help of the TM's tear down and clean both....
Ya, I can see that a tool box full of goodies is in order to stay with the truck. As on history I'm not too sure, Colemans said they had it a while just sitting up till about a month ago when I got it. The first thing I did was change filters, and like everyone suggested I went thru and checked...
Thanks everyone, I thought I was going nuts when this happened, you read so much on here about how the system fails and leaves people without brakes, and here I am with the exact opposite problem... I probably would have tried to get it home, but alongside the road with a leatherman and 1...
Ok guys, no luck with glad hand trick...
Warning: you mite not like what I did
1st gear with strobe light and flashers on got it about 1/4 mile to a buddy of mines house where it is sitting, never got the brakes realesed so it prob wasnt good for them but it was 1 low and it NEEDED off the...
Ok with drivers glad hand cracked there is a constant flow of air out of it... The brake pedal is sorta workable but all in all moves about 3/4 of an inch total...
As the tittle states... I was going down the road and I pulled into a side road cause I thought I smelled something funny...
Well what do ya know the brakes were locked and smoking, there was a loose air line into the master cylinder I think?? Behind the drivers side toolbox, with a skid plate...
