Ok, just to finish off the thread. Got the master cylinder working and the brakes bleed. Works good. The only thi g is I do believe the push rod going Into the master needs adjusting. After releasing the brakes I believe the fluid drains back too slow. The thump of the big piston In the airpack...
Sounds like you have a good game plan. Tractor supply has spin on and canister type filters. Not sure if there spin ons will take any other brands though. And I would imagine keeping a pipe with oil in would be enough to get your prime going.
First off welcome!!
Regarding your mechanical ability, you will learn. I just got my deuce a little ago and don't know much. Just download the TM's. There are some real good parts breakdowns. Take your time. So far nothin seems TOO hard to work on. And looking at the TM's if you need to replace...
:funny:
Ya the agents here in Halifax are awesome to deal with. I love state farm. They loved it when I took the deuce in just to show them what they helped me insure. They loved it haharofl
State farm, as stated above, commercial policy for non commercial use. All the other "plans" had restrictions. As in can only drive like once a week or sumthing.
Anyway $27 a month and I can drive it as I desire[thumbzup]
Man, I thought I could get out of there before anyone saw me, guess not...
Just kidding, on the serious side this probably wouldn't of been my first choice as a tow vehicle, if they bought the trailer they must plan on towing it with a capable vehicle, makes you wonder why they didn't bring the...
ok, So its off to the parts store for more brake cleaner, I do believe this was my problem, the piston was fully compressed and stuck there. once i got it released a TON of nasty sludgy stuff came out. well after cleaning the main piston area and quickly putting in the new spring, piston, and...
After reading every thread after searching about these I'm still a bit in the dark. With the brakes locking up on the deuce and with the airpack eliminated as the problem I'm going to go ahead and do a master cylinder rebuild. I got a rebuild kit or $26 from Saturn surplus today and there looks...
I would get the CDL, at least class B, then there is no worries bout how picky a cop wants to be. Plus, personally, a CDL seems like a good thing to have. I'm in the early process of getting mine for my job, lots of studying to do:roll:
That's just my 2cents
Without a relay the entire electrical load is going through your switch, with a relay it's not. All depends on the load I guess, for lights like in your picture I would use relay's. There relatively cheap and IMHO worth it for things like that
Yes, lots of people have done/tried this. Alot of folks recomend to sit it outside in a barrel in the hot summer sun to help with the separation process. There is alot of good info in the ALT. Fuels section, I have read probably 95% of the threads there lookin at people's setups and different info.
Well I had a tough battle with the valve on the propane tank I got and well... The propane tank won... :( the valve doesn't look pretty but it's still on there good and tight haha. To the OP... Do you think a old air compressor tank would work? There's some good deals on craigslist a d I figured...
Thank you, although TSC sells canister type filters with the drains at the bottom, not sure what I'll get yet, I'll need to look at the options they have to offer. Next I'll need to get an air hose fitting with glad hand and regulator. The deuce is the only compressor I have
