    20,000lb wrecker winch shear pins

Not sure about the 20K winch but on my 10K I use 1/4 in wide 2 3/4 to 3 in long carriage bolts.

    20,000lb wrecker winch shear pins

I use grade 2 (?) bolts. They seem to wok pretty good and shear off about the same as the actual shear pins. (and alot cheaper)

    Las vegas, cruise-in tonight (20110722)

If anybody in the Las Vegas/Henderson/Boulder City, NV area is interested there will be a Cruise-in at the Sonic at 3431 N. Rancho DR. from 7p-10p. I will be there with my truck if anyone else wants to show.

    Slow vehicle safety

I added reflective convoy panels (red and yellow) to the back mudflaps on my truck along with the rear facing lollipop turn-sigs on the front of my truck. I also use my convoy lights on a regular basis on the freeways (Vegas drivers are horrible). Another safety item I added was backup lights...

    R.I.P--SHOOTINIRON--James Ruman

Just found out about this, I only spent a few hours with him when we picked up his A3 and took it to the shop. I can't even think of what to write, I can't believe that this happened to such a nice guy. James and my wife talked about their experiences in the SeaBees and we talked a little about...

    Help needed at Nellis AFB

Sorry it has taken so long to get back to you. If the truck will not run and they can have it dragged off the lot I can tow it later in the day. I should also be available in the afternoon (1200-1400), we have a Change of Command rehearsal in the morning and it has completely jacked up my...

    Acceptable price for WMO

Contact the local oil change places. One here lets me take all I want (that way they don't have to pay to get it hauled off). I just pumpfrom about 1 foot from the top of the tank and that seems to get rid of most junk in the oil. (at least so far)

Anyone near Nellis that can look at a vehicle?

A little harsh buddy. Lot's of people don't call to ask, and a few go to pick up vehicles with little to no info on their condition. Someone posting some helpful hints should be thanked, not berated.

    Fender mounted warning lights.

I already have the "lollipop lights" added. I was actually thinking of adding the light the wreckers have on the drivers side to both fenders on my deuce.

    Fender mounted warning lights.

Do the fender mounted amber warning lights on the older 5 ton wreckers flash, or do anything other than stay solid? I am looking to add a couple to my deuce. (for some reason I am not happy with a stock truck and have to constantly add things to it). And does anybody know where I can get a...

WMO fuel, any long term damage or issues with soot buildup in cylinders?

I've been running 90% WMO (filtered to 5 microns) and 10% gas per tankful for the last few months (1000 miles), I drive my truck to work and back almost everyday and have had no issues.
