I know this is a little off topic, but there is an F-4A Phantom II (one of the first half dozen) just sitting at MCAS Quantico, rotting.
I’d be more than happy to refurbish it out of my own funds if someone could hook me up with a Chinook, CH-53 or Osprey to do the heavy lift. I promise to...
I used 90w Gl-1 that I got from NAPA. Went around and around trying to figure which one was best. aua Finally decided on GL-1 because that is what I took out, what has been used since before I was born and I KNEW it wouldn’t be bad.
Would the GL-5 be a problem with the synchronizers? Got...
Thank you Jason, Westech and most especially Bjorn and David (sorry, I have my favorites). I love this thread and am taking notes. This is giving me lots of information in regards to my previous post on the typical lifespan of a Deuce engine. I learn more here than I ever could in the TM’s...
Thanks David, as usual, you are a font of information.

There’s some nice Deuces and 5 tons (and not so nice ones) on the GSA site. Forestry in Michigan looks like they are unloading. There some other stuff on the left coast, including a 5 ton with a crane on the back…

RE: Re: RE: THIS CLUTCH TOO!!!!!
When we pulled my clutch, I went with a ‘take out’ 4 arm pressure plate from Murray for a very sweet price. He threw in a take out clutch (because he didn’t have any new in stock), but I felt it was a tad too worn. When I did get the new one, well I think the...
