Some Upgrades
Hotbox - Thanks, though I'm not sure, because of your avatar, if you are serious or not . :)
Once again I'm in that "summer pre-departure" overload. Been working on some of the latest upgrades.
First the step-tank as mounted (noticed that I didn't have any posted that were...
Here is something that I saved once,
"The FDC is basically a movable stop for the fuel pedal. When you are running a thin fuel, such as gasoline, the stop moves to allow full pedal, and maximum fuel. When you are running a thick fuel, such as WMO, the stop moves to reduce the maximum pedal...
That's what I know as well, 13 -14 flats. Very little of the threads should be let showing. Too much fuel being wasted = black smoke = high exhaust temps = turbo damage. I wouldn't leave it that way.
Got it! That also means that those of us running NON-stock tire sizes aren't getting "true" measurements. Prob not very much off, less than it would be off if we used the rim.
Thanks for making that clear. [thumbzup]
It's little hard to figure w/ how we fuel but,
We seem to get around 8.5 in the She Beast running around 2,100 - 2,200rpm w/ 395's at 30psi in the rear and 40psi in the front . . . pulling a 105, and we do NOT live where it's flat. No pump fuel used.
(and I think I need to turn her fuel down...
Yep, right over the fuel tank.
There are 15, 20, and 30 amp breakers.
And I just found it! Listed in the -209-20P . . . page 460 / illustration on 471. It is a 15 amp
Thanks
I've been digging through TM's, searches, etc. I'm not finding what I need!
I need to replace the breaker on the outside, front, pass-side of the box . . . and I'm not finding the amp rating for it. Anyone?
This is holding up an order of parts, so I could really use some help on this.
Thanks
I do use a diaphragm pump to filter, but not that one. I use one like that to transfer from their tanks to my collection tanks. After that I've been using a single diaphragm pump to push, NOT suck, through filters (3). I do this only because it's 24v and I can do it when we are in travel mode w/...
Thanks to all!
Thank you everyone! It feels really good to know that after 32 years of living & traveling around the land in my rigs I now know a crew of people that will go out of their way . . . way out of their way, to make sure that they have your back. Thank you so much for that!
I'm now...
Thanks all, I'm now headed farther south.
Will keep you'll updated.
Gimpy, I'm going to keep it under 50 so that doesn't happen to her ;)
Warthog, can we change the "911" to "Repaired -".
Copy that. I'm hoping to pick one up from Jack in Tucson when I hit there either tomorrow or the next day.
Can't leave that kind of thing on my lady's rig.
Thanks, the fan straightened out just fine, using the built in anvil known as the front bumper, so I'm good there. Thanks for stopping and hangin out while I worked on putting it back together ;) I hope yours goes together well.
So it's all back together, water pump, straightened fan, rad, . ...
Thank you CB and the man w/ the parts ,
We now have another rad & water pump, along w/ some coolant
Now I doing that thing that we do in the SW, . . . waiting, waiting for the sun to drop down some. The mid-day hiding from the sun . . . it's a tradition ;)
So far we haven't found too many...
