Cummins ISX15, DD15, CAT C18 all will make that power easily. But hard to fit. A DT466 will do it as well and fit. The problem is the transmissions ability to take that much torque at such a low RPM while moving that size of a vehicle under the abusive conditions the OP is planning on putting it...
I'm not going to throw the BS flag, but from what I have see, it's hard to believe. With out knowing what kind of bolt pattern the block has, we can't really give you a direction to go with transmissions. In the light duty world, you can build any of the transmissions to handle the power, be it...
that is an aftercooler for the engine coolant I believe. It dosent look like and air to water aftercooler(aka intercooler; cooling the intake air charge. Called an intercooler due to its location; in between the stages of charge. In this case after the turbo but before the supercharger. An...
The Venturi effect pulls particulate matter out of the air box and in to the exhaust. What heats up the block is what's called open loop operation. The PCM sees that the ECT sensor (engine coolant tempature) is not at a predetermined temperature. So it increases injector pulse width (inject more...
There is lube in the compressor. It's not engine oil though. If it's excessive then you could be looking at a new air compressor. I don't know what the recommended replacement time line is for the compressor. I can tell you I've never seen one get replaced while in the military.
You all must realize that EGR is NOT an EPA item. It's there to help cool the piston down. That's it. Under WOT the EGR valve remains closed for maximum power.
the EGR duct is the top one on the air filte box that goes under the cab. It connects to the exhaust on the stack. I miss spoke when I was speaking about oil in the aftercooler. I had a truck with a blown turbo at work I was working on. The 8V92 dosent have an aftercooler system. Though I would...
Oil consumption is going to happen because of the Positive crank case ventilation system; slobber tubes Comming off the valve covers. Block off the smaller diameter hose that goes to the air box comming from the exhaust. The air compressor is driven off the fuel pump(injection pump). There is no...
Fresh 5.9 12 valve 6BT cummins; block and head decked, fire ringed. Line honed/ hone block with torque plate and main caps installed. Port and polish the heads, port match the heads, ceramic coat the area with in each fire ring, exhaust valves, exhaust runners/ports, exhaust manifold, and the...
I'm super excited to say that for one, I have found new work that is 100% behind my build. So the fire ringed heads with ceramic coated combustion chamber, exhaust valves with 5 Angle valve jobs, exhaust ports, and exhaust manifolds they covered and took delivery of today. They also took...
