Still hunting down an over drive transmission that's a single counter shaft and 6 speeds that can take 1,000 ft-lbs. I might just have to go automatic.
The more I think about it, I think a 10 speed would be sweet. A NP203/205 doubler behind that transmission and that would give me something like 30 foward moving gears! If I couldn't find the right ratio, I don't belong driving, lol.
I'm looking in to transmission options. I'm considering the ESO 66-7B spicer or the FSO8406A fuller. Are there other options out there?

Well, 800 lb-ft @ 1900rpm would allow for cruising under that. Basicly off idle. If the Ford guys can do this with their OBS trucks, why cant I. The leafs will be getting replaced.
I would like to go 4 or 5 speed trans and 2 speed transfer case, if possible. I'm going to have to do more research as to what the torque out put would be. I do know the engine produces a good amount of torque.

As far as air restriction, I personally would make the intake (turbo inlet foward) the same diameter at the turbo inlet and make any bends smooth, along with trying to eliminate bends if at all possible. Also, increase the flow rating of the filter, and increasing the size of the tubing foward...
