Full hydro help needed...smart math people!

Which pump are you talking about from PSC? I klnow they have the "P" pump like the saginaw system on Chevys, Dodges, and Fords. But in my experience rockcrawling the factory Chevrolet pump sucks. We have burned up so many of those pumps that O'Riellys will no longer warranty them for us. We even...

Full hydro help needed...smart math people!

Ok, I know PSC sells a fully hydro steering kit for a rockwell. Well that is 1500$ and I am a tight wad and like to build my own stuff. So I have figured out what double ended ram to use and I have figured at what steering valve to use. I am trying to figure out with pump I will need. Like how...

    Water Injection

Um, I think he is saying going from stock 130HP to 150-160 HP. Not making 130 HP on water meth alone. He said the 285HP figure saying if you re-vamped the IP, cam, and probably head bolts, head gaskets, and a few other internals. D

    No Garage, Need Insurance

I also had to provide interior, underhood, and multiple exterior shots. Still no problems. I also found out that if I insure my Camaro, and my pick-up with them I will get a few more dollars off of my already ridiculously cheap insurance. Multi-car discount. :-D D

    No Garage, Need Insurance

No, the truck is valued for 4000$ in case of theft. It has minimum state liability coverage. 25,000$ collision and 50,000$ injury I think. They even have the gvw. So I know I am covered. I triple asked my agent. D

    No Garage, Need Insurance

I have State Farm. Insured as an antique. No mileage limitations, no storage limitiations, no towing limitations and insured for 4000$ . But only liability. Are you ready for this? It costs me 3.67$ a month. They have inspected the truck and have pictures on file, a copy of the title, as well as...

    M1009 axle swap options

There are 8 bolts that hold the axle shaft into the hub. A single floater has no hub and you must pull the diff. cover and remove the c-clips or whatever to get the axle shaft at, I believe. Good luck finding a Dana 60 in a junk yard. D

We just sold a Dana 60 and a 14 BFF both with Detroits, 5.13's, rear discs, and hy-steer cross over for $2K. You can get a 14BFF open diff with 4.10s around here for 100-150$. And a Dana 60 when you can find them for 800$-1200$, 4.10s also open diff. You can find an lug Dana 44 for 150-250$ and...

Took the Deuce off-roading this weekend...

Truck did flawlessly, the 2 videos where I couldn't make it up, I made it up previously in the day. This thing would be unstoppable with some tires, a locker or 3 :-D and hydro-steering. Anyway here's ya'lls fix. Just a work-warning, there may be foul language. I don't recall. And one of those...

Need to change hose connected to t-stat housing

Actually there was no gasket. It had black RTV on it. And that was from the military. But RTV worked just fine. I use some expensive stuff. Its "The Right Stuff" it comes in can. It works great. I have had no problems and in several situations I have used RTV in place of an actual gasket with...

Need to change hose connected to t-stat housing

I just did this the other day. It really wasn't bad but it is a big mess, you will need a big drip pan. I pulled the radiator support brace off first. I think 2 1/2" wrenches, and 2 9/16" wrenches. After that I loosened all the hose clamps. (Well actually slowly one at a time to catch as much of...
