Ok I like the idea about filtering the engine coolant, actually I was going to do this two years ago but didn't follow through. What will be the best or Good engine coolant I should use ? I live in the South so Winter is not much of a problem but the heat is. Looks like Prestone in it now and...
I've seen several trucks where they have their cargo cover gear secured behind the cab some way but havent seen a good clear example. I know it should be in a manual somplace or maybe a home made rig. Who would sell these kits ? I need a better way to strore them on the truck when not in use.
Thanks for that info, that made it a lot easier.
Where can I get some of those small C clips that hold the bottom U shaped spring on ? I thought they would be easy to find at a parts house but I haven't found any yet. I ordered some from Saturn but they were the larger ones for the service...
Hey guys, which manual shows the emergency brake removal and replacement or something on replacing the linings ? I have the old hand squeeze e-brake handle so I guess I have the older type e-brake set up. I changed out the old drum and shoes with new ones and now I having trouble adjusting them...
Hey you guys, I'm probably posting this in the wrong place, not sure. There are some PS Military Comic Manuals on eBay right now, three different batches 12 books for 1963 , 12 books for 1967 and 13 books for 1974. here is one of the item No.'s 250069076095 with one day and two hrs. left...
You can get some of that stuff you put inside the tube to balance them. Some kind of beads you put in the tubes. I haven't tried it myself, just herd about it. :D
What was used to tie down Canvas on a 1969 Deuce when it was issued ? Hemp rope, or that Black synthetic rope ? Heck, I was in from 1972/75 and I cant remember what was on ours. Would both be correct? Just was wondering when they stopped using the regular rope,(hemp or what ever its called)
Hey Guys I thought this may be the best place to ask, What are those V shaped markings on the sides of Tanks and other vehicles ? I only starded noticing it during the first Gulf War and I always wondered about what it ment ? Its some kind of chevron markings that may be pointed in any...
What Trailer is supposed to match the Deuce or supposed to be a Deuce trailer for about a 1969 Deuce? I know there are different kinds but I'm just interested in the regular short cargo trailer. I don't know what they are called as far as M-### ?
Mr. Kenny or anyone else that knows, Where can a person purchase one of those cool electrical decice's you posted about that controlls the buzzer? sorry for changing the subject but that sounds intresting especially for my e-brakes :D
Anyone know what it will take ? From what I've seen in a manual, its hasn't been real clear. I may not have found the right manual that shows what I need.
That's good, maybe not all the bolts are not like I said. The bolts that hold the axles on are a uncomon length and the bumper bolts, both sizes and those short ½" bolts that seem to be on everything. :)
I know it doesn't matter if a bolt is a little longer than the original if you have to...
I'm going to replace my E-Brake shoe's, springs and Drum because they have been sevearly abused and I helped do some of it by forgetting to release the e-brake when I would drive it around when I first got the truck, they were almost gone when I got it. My question is what do I have to change...
Notice that most all the bolts on a Deuce are a special length  I havent been able to swap any bolts that are the same exact length, always a tad longer or a tad shorter, metric and std.
Did the Govt. do this on purpose or am I nuts ? :)
Thanks cranetruck for posting the picture, that looks like a real up town chock, lot better than my homemade one. :) Is it basicaly some boards sandwiched togeather ?
