Thats Great, all three of the Differentals are from 1969, ( July/September/December) according to their tags. It is a M35A2 wo/w with a Kaiser plate, I'll have to double check that No. on it and compare. Must be a 1968-69 then
OK MV master minds I finally found my No. on the left front frame rail. I been putting it off because that black coating is some ruff crap to get off, some kind of protective coating, under coat I guess.
Well this is what was on it, 0325 24681, I figured it wouldn't be a easy one that just...
I was wondering about how thy made them with the bow in it also. Two of the Saturn bows I received were almost straight, could they still be used ? they are really stiff.
Who has some New or like New, wooden cargo bows ? The ones at Saturn are not that good and I need to get 3 for my Deuce. Three of mine were rotten on each end. :?
How smooth is it supposed to be when you shift the transmission ? Mine is sorta stiff but doesn't grind any gears if you can hit the right slot. My stiffest place is when I try and put the shifter in second gear, the slot just to the right of reverse.
Seems to be easier when going to second...
This is probably a no brainer but drilling a hole in each corner of the tail gate where the foot brackets are bolted will let the rain water drain out when you leave the tail gate down when it rains. Mine didn't have any drain holes and when I would raise the gate the water would splash...
Hey I have something on the front of my transfer case, almost across from that speedodomiter 90º cable hook up, sorry cant think of its name right now. But its round and maby 2" diamiter and sticks out about 2 or 3 inches and has several small thin bolts going through a flange that secures it to...
Humm, Well I bought a New large outer windshield frame and it already has holes in it for what I thought was for the rods. The rods I have were already on the truck and they look ok also. Maybe I need to drill some better holes then. Where do you find that info on drilling the holes ?
I did...
Any of you guys have any trouble with those Cab Top Bows coming out of the holes ? The vibrations of driving makes some of mine come out of the holes over the front windshield. The end of the rods are supposed to just sit down in the holes right ? My cab top cover seems to be a tight enough fit...
When's the last time you guys inspected the bottom of your deuce ? I thought mine was in great shape until I decided to R & R my e-brake assembly and give it a good going over. I had numerous air lines rubbing on sharp objects and the same with the wiring harness plus the brake lines, I don't...
What would a trailer for the Deuce be worth ? I found one that is maybe fair shape with lots of rust but nothing rusted so bad it cant be used. I dont know what model it is but it looks like a trailer for the 2½ - 5 ton ? no data plates I could see but it has two hand brakes in front and a air...
Yes thats what my new cap looks like with that thing in te center, and my old deuce cap has NON VENTED on it.
So the cap that came with the truck may be the wrong cap anyway ? (non vented )
I have a new fuel cap I was going to put on but its different than the original. It has a valve on the inside and the one thats on the truck now is a non vented cap, would that other cap work or not. :?:
Hey I found my Military Magazine article on Coolant Maintenance by Mr.Bjorn. Dang I forgot I had those magazines I been saving.
Thanks for all the info guys and thank you Cranetruck. :D :D :D
Ok, Can the Addative be found at most auto parts or do I need to look for it at heavy equipment shops or eighteen wheeler shops and such ? May be able to purchase it on line ???
