I understand the vacuum pump should pull down 20-25" Hg at idle. When I tested mine the needle was bouncing too bad to read. It jumped around approx 16-18" Hg with a swing of about 4-6". Is this normal?

Hi fellas. Couple weeks ago my 2-3 shift went away. Just had a chance to start looking at it, and here's where you tranny guys come in.
I had a split vacuum hose, and replaced it, along with the Modulator. Still no vacuum at modulator, so I continued TSing. I have plenty of vacuum at bottom port...

The JCW system doesn't come with mufflers. I heard that GL is having an auction on a lot of 35-40 brand new in box exhaust systems for the 1009. I would love to score one of those, but can't possibly use all 40. Anybody heard about these?
I like the free idea, but that's where my hubs are most of the time, and you can still tell at a glance what condition they are in, as long as your memory is accurate!
