He wanted to hit that mark but couldn't the machining was too involved so as of now he's at $2200 a pair with a bushing for the splines to ride in or he makes them with a ball bearing too which is 2500 a pair. They are full billet hubs the one in the pic had an aluminum turn dial for the...
The lockers will fit all 5ton axles 800 series and 900 series. I doubt there will be any discounts unless you plan to buy like 50 of them. at 1500 each he's not making much on them so serious buyers only.
well that's part of the designing. room for an actuator is what will limit it. we want to stay away from an ARB design due to the possible orings and stuff leaking. it if was electric it would be possibly to use a disc type magnet to actuate it versus needing room for an air cylinder or solenoid.
Ok Trying to see how much real interest there is. My buddy is designing a selectable locker as a drop in unit for the 5ton axles. Projected sale price is to be $1500 to $1600 per locker. We have been brain storming on the actuation as to make it air or electric or even a cable option. If...
It won't be made by ARB but there is now a selectable locker in the works. It will be a drop in setup other than drilling a hole or 2 in the dropout. actuation is not decided yet. options we are working on as of now are air or electric or possibly a cable option too.
you said you used the non ctis seals. you mean the hub seal? ifso and you didn't add the seal sleeves onto the ctis spindle they used on the older rear axles then your seal isn't properly sealing the hub and spindle.
The races in the hubs are the same for all the 5ton trucks even the 800 series. the bearings cones on 800 series and the non ctis 900's are the same. the spindle on the ctis is thicker so they use a different bearing cone. and the ctis axles use a different hub seal you can use the old style...
The front axles in the 5ton trucks also are setup with a slight positive camber which will also cause the tires to wear like that. Kneel down look at the truck from the front you can see the tops of the tires lean outward.
Mine was the same way. so I just made a guess at 1990 but then also found the engine data tag said the engine was manufactured in 1990 so I figured that would be fairly accurate.
Ok so when it was cold this morning I held the throttle wide open and then started to crank it. almost instantly it started to chug and fire. I left off the throttle as soon as It acted like it was gonna start and it chugged for a second or so then was running. So seems a tweak of the fuel pump...
lol yeah that's a drive. there were 2 fronts Michigan. but we bought those a while back. I know a guy up there I can call to see if he has acquired anymore.
