Nice I just put my gauges in next is an intercooler. I've been running the 4k governor springs and we cranked the fuel to it and I cut out the muffler, it runs way better but need to do some mods to bring down the egt's.
I don't know price yet. things are still in the designing stages now with a few hurdles to overcome and not make them crazy priced. Your other options are find a set of axles from an m1500 firetruck. those airlocker axles will bolt right into the truck and will also make the truck faster since...
Ok finally got my gauges installed. Mods so far to the truck are 4k governor springs, cut out the inside of the muffler, adjusted the rack travel and the fuel nuts turned to the max. Last nights test ride: it'll push 40lbs of boost and from a dead stop full throttle take off it'll put the egt's...
sounds like a bad ground somewhere. check your grounds and your power wires that connect to the starter to make sure they aren't corroded or melted or burnt. wouldn't hurt to take the connections apart and scuff them up and reinstall.
the puny kingpins and the small axle tubes are just gonna create a headache of problems. those little kingpins were never designed for anywhere near that weight especially with a stiff suspension as a 939 truck. and a few nasty holes at speed and the ends of the axletube will be bent upward...
I agree on the anti-seize. if properly torqued they won't come back off and the anti-seize acts as a lube which gives better torque values than a dry thread.
If you can't change the tire by yourself you shouldn't be driving the truck. As long as you have the chain hoist and the lug tools you should be ok. just might need to grunt on the lugs some a multiplier would be nice to have. I'm not saying it's an easy job but 1 man can do it.
