We've had the M135 for 2 years. We use it primarily for the Legion, and their functions.
If yours is running, I can slot you into the tail end of our Remembrance Day parade.
We'll have a few trucks there, but Veterans march first in our parade.
I've got a toy drive coming up as well, we...
Ok, so now that you have most of the tools put back, give us the 50 cent tour of your complete mansion.
I've been watching this thread, and it's been like eating an elephant ... 1 bite at a time.
You really have something worth showing off, so, do some well deserved bragging.
Pretend we...
Dave, You aren't allowed to use "Goof Off"
If you do you might disappear,
and we still have things for you to do!
Get your butt back out here, and you'll get to meet my wife!
Beers... trucks ...Beers, BBQ. Taxi!
If you have someone who you trust, get it run around the block once a month.
these beasts live longer if they keep mooving.
When it is lying dormant, tarp it, and make sure that the coollant has tons of antifreeze,
both for cold and lube. Fuel stabilizer is a must do, and do the Pm's before...
Costco and Princess Auto have some really budget priced
"Portable RV Cover"
My last one cost $300, and it lasted 3 seasons,
and 4 really good West Coast Winter wind storms.
As for heat, Stagg Chili warms you up,
and keeps the wife out of the tool zone!
Schmidt ... Karen just whacked me...
Deisel, Atf, Marvel ... whatever. Dump it in and let it set for a week.
Then gently nudge it back and forth with a bar.
DO NOT ENGAGE THE STARTER.
If that is not effective, remove the covers and see what is happening.
Remember, this is like eating an elephant with a KFC Spork.
Nothing...
Close, but get the one off of the HMMV,
it has both 12 and 24V output,
and will make the rest of your truck's life very simple.
BTW, you will have to install a seperate battery for the 12V stuff,
but then you will have the best of both worlds!
The TMs live here! MilitaryTrucks.ca Website - M135
Aside from the radiator, you're going to need a voltage regulator,
but you might as well just buy a HMMV 24/12 V alternator off of Egay,
and save a lot of problems.
Sell the old generator in the classifieds on this site.
There is a Canadian source, and he is now following your posts. I think that dave has access to the original ones, complete with rust, not the Memphis Equipment reman.
It's about time to revive this thread. When I know the numbers of pers who will be collecting in our area, I can proceed with trying to arrange a Biv Site, and a burger bash at the Legion. Let me know, and I'll try to do what I can from my point. We do have a preferred repair shop, and tire shop...
I can send you 2 of my welders,
but shipping and up keep for those thirsty buggers,
would make buying an M1 tank cheap by comparison!
These are the 2 legged kind of welders.
The beer bill alone is enough to drain your wallet!
Well, that was an M211.
A lot of mods have happened.
Post up what power plant it now has and transfer case ...
The TMs are available at MilitaryTrucks.ca Website - M135
The 135 and 211 were very similar, the cargo bed and the tires ( Duals - Super Singles), were the only difference. All...
