We are planning on arriving Thursday after 3pm. Will head out Saturday after noon as I have to work Sat and Sun night. We will load the trailer this weekend and post pictures and a list.
Can you post a picture of the dogleg shape linkage that connects the lever on the throttle shaft to the accelerator pump? if installed incorrectly it binds.
Thank you for the info. I use no gas additives. Until recently ethanol free gas was not readily available to me. A station was sold and the new owner offers ethanol free premium on one pump. It costs $.50 more, but it is worth it for anything that will sit for more than a week.
Right the...
I do not understand what is in my carburetor. When it is in the carb bowl its like a 1/4" layer of brown slimy oatmeal. I piled it on a board and it turned to a fine gray powder that reminds me of cement mix, a very fine powder. This is the third time, however I have not done the entire system...
I'm done with fuel issues for a while. 20gallon fuel cell with braided lines and a 24v carter pump. It works but is not ready for the road yet. There are still some final touches to the fuel system and a shut off.
So after the never ending fuel problem, the boys and I ripped everything out. Fuel tank, pump, lines, hoses and carburetor. I have done everything before over time with the result being ongoing problems I cannot count how many times it has been drained and cleaned. Gasoline is either milky or...
If Jeff does not, I know of some. He gets first chance.
As far as what to do, I have the same problem. The only solution was to get a third truck for parts.
About the clean shop... When we were out there in March, we were blown away by the organizational skills and attention to detail by both him and the real owner of the M37. In his garage there were shelves full of parts all in boxes that were perfectly sized, some totes, but all was labeled. a to...
I got Macus's last kit so I think I'm out of business. It is so simple to rebuild. The problem with me doing a video is I assembled it with a 3# hammer. It should really be done on a small shop press. Eventually I will pay the price.
So far, So good on the water pump. It was much simpler than I figured to rebuild it. There was a lot of brown yuck when I pulled the lower radiator hose off. It will need a good flushing.
There was a misfire when I started it a while ago. thought it may have been a stuck intake valve so I...
That is nice Jim. I did not realize it was in that condition. You better snarf that one up. You sure would look good driving it!
Maybe you need help with the recovery?
It was no where close to that. I'm at about 3/4" now.
I finally gave up on the original stack. My elbow was rusted out. The original flex was good, but I could not make the bends tight enough so I purchased shorter braided flex coupler. It is 8" long. The original was about 14". I cut some...
I actually saw the M211 converted to a wrecker with over 111,000 miles on it. Of course there was some work done on it over the years. He had others with 5 ton dump boxes. He has some parts and the inventory is listed on his website.
...And he had some good stuff he is keeping for his vehicles...
