As expected, the outer bearing went.
1. Outer bearing
2. Inner bearing
3. Seal and rubber... more research needed on this. I cannot believe this actually worked!
4. Pump rebuild kit contents
5. Rebuilt pump. I cannot understand how it will not leak.
So the fiber washer with ears is under...
I had the honor of visiting MajorTom at Alfa Heaven this week. He is one heck of a guy, a lot of knowledge. He told me to not over tighten my belt or it will take out the bearings in a hurry. It did.
I just pulled an old air pack from the storage can. I sandblasted the outside and then started taking it apart. There was a lot of junk inside. The big can was full of water. Like a quart. It is at least 4 years old and sparkling clear. The inside was like it was coated with white wax. I assume...
Wow. Thanks for the idea. I just learned something. I have a PC so I opened the image in Windows Photo Viewer and then opened Paint. The program does the same thing. We will be seeing a lot more red circles and arrows in the Early Deuce forum thanks to you!
I think I did one wheel a couple years ago. I'm still 2 wheel cylinders short.
It is a bad thing when you have to read your own thread to see what you did!
I drive this red truck around the yard every week. I never noticed the air pack was not working until I took it on the road. It requires a lot of push to stop when over 20mph. I have 4 old air packs and a rebuild kit somewhere. Look what I found in a storage can!
I think there are 10 new wheel...

I have 2 trucks almost done and complete. I plan to cut back further on my inventory of parts. Everything is in cans and out of sight. I will open some this weekend and start sorting. I spent last weekend doing the annual tune and fuel ups on the...
Saturday we were in southern Minnesota. (Yes, in pursuit of junk.) When we hit Wisconsin about 3 pm we could not even see the ridge lines of the hills off in the distance. The winds must have pushed the smoke right down on top of us.
Pictures. We need pictures. Carb rebuild pictures are on my red truck thread. You may have a WWII engine and trans conversion. Impossible to tell from here with no pictures.

I gotta be honest. the first time I took the door off I cut the strap with a sawzall. Not the best way. Then I started cutting the head off the pin with the grinder and driving the pin down. Now, I just quit taking the doors off.
I think I have a truck with roll pins. That works fine too. I'll...
Ooops! That picture describes the M34 vs M35 perfectly. The drum bolts to the inner end of the hub and the axle bolts to the outer edge of the hub. A simple flip of the hub does the trick no a M34/35
The M211 and M135 is different. the drum is 2 piece. The drum mounts to the flange behind the...
