    WANTED - Parking *********

Is this how we get around the rules now? We just add a bunch of ****** and then no one really knows what it is that we are looking to buy?

    Deuce from Sparta WI.to KY

I already have it at my shop for him. He wants to keep the steel cover on the back so I doubt it would fit on your trailer. But you are welcome to drop tires off for me anytime you want. Or I could even offer to pick them up for you on one of my many adventures to McCoy. They'd at least be a...

    Brake Help

Matt, DOT is anything but cheap. I usually try to reclaim what I can with an empty DOT 5 bottle and a 3/8 OD hose on the bleeder. If it's got debry in it though don't even think of trying to reuse it. When bleeding the brakes here is how I was taught to do it: Start with the bleeder on the...

    Shop Day and get together

Just a few days before the shop day and I thought I'd give the thread a bump as a reminder. I also wanted to point out some topics I hope to review that I have read in recent threads and have taken care of on my truck as well. One has to do with adding a zerk to the trunion, as found in this...

    R.I.P--SHOOTINIRON--James Ruman

You and your family are in the hearts and prayers of my family. I really can't think of anything else to say, the words just aren't there.

    definitive cause of death wobble

Funny we talk about wheel balancers and A2's. I have an A2 here at the shop for another member and one tire on the back has weights on it. On the inside and outside of the tire. I have never seen that on an A2 or any bias ply tire. If you look at the top of the tire, through all the spilled...

    New girl...

I will be picking up a deuce at McCoy shortly that needs to go to NY. Sure it's not a 915 but you are welcome to drive it for me.

    M35A3 drivability and performance

Musta been the driver. I did only have one hand on the wheel and the other on the video camera trying to capture the death wobble.

Should i go with Green or Camo on a m1009

I always say 3 color. I love how my deuce turned out and am very glad I chose 3 color over just green.

    Member Memorial Wall

What may be a good idea is a self policed thread. What I mean by that is only the name of the member lost and thier information listed. No additional post to be made by other members posting anything about the lost member. Each lost member gets a single post. If needed we the one posting can...

There is nothing more that can, or should be added to this now.

    M35A3 drivability and performance

Personally I can say that I wanted an A3 for a long time. Then I drove one. Compared to the A2 the power stearing is nice, but that's about it. I've heard of death wobble in an A3, not in an A2. I've experienced death wobble in an A3 not in an A2. Yes I have an A2, yes I wanted an A3 for a...

    M35A3 drivability and performance

My A2 came with the electric wipers from an A3. Still see no need in owning one of them.

    M35A3 drivability and performance

There was a time when all I wanted was an A3. The there other day I went and recovered one for another member. They are slow and the death wobble makes them not so much fun to drive. http://www.steelsoldiers.com/transportation-needs/70910-need-something-picked-up-mccoy-5.html

Wreckerman and Elmo on the move

I just hope someday she will stop calling me a yankee. Got her to stop with the **** yankee at least.

Need something picked up at McCoy?

The A3 I picked up on Friday is on it's way to it's new home in OH. They came up in the middle of the night and we met at the shop this morning. Changed the oil and the filters, then swapped out one of the front tires. Our hope was to eliminate the wobble, it was reduced somewhat but is still...

    M35A3 recovery from Fort McCoy

Glad to see the recovery went so well. I picked on up on Friday for another member and the CTIS wasn't working, oh well. They are an ok truck, just not at the top of my list anymore after driving that one. She moved on down the road today to her new home in OH, so if you ever need another one...

    preventable rear suspension failure

I took mine off today and they were bone dry. I also still have the bearings and not the bushings. So I put in the zerks and added almost an entire tube of grease to each side. Overall things looked good, just dry.
