Dangerous Situation Today With My M1009

Does getting it off require the use of a gear puller??

Dangerous Situation Today With My M1009

Dangerous Situation Today With My M1009

As promised here is the picture of the inside. I hope this is a better picture that helps. Also the sleeve that all this stuff is in should be separating from the rotor and coming off at this point right?

Dangerous Situation Today With My M1009

I didn't get to do any work on the truck today as I was at a Boy Scout event up at the church. I will probably work on tomorrow. However in a few minutes I'll go run and take some HD pictures so you guys can see what I'm looking at a little better.

Dangerous Situation Today With My M1009

Oh so that's/was the nut huh? No wonder the instructions I was reading didn't make sense! Where can I get a new spindle? I looked on O'Reilly's website and couldn't find one.

Dangerous Situation Today With My M1009

OK I'll let the Corp 14 sit for now. SO I just got off the outer ring that everyone was telling me to remove. The gear thinger slid out after that but I'm not sure of my next step. The manual says remove some nut but I don't see one. aua Video below. YouTube - CUCV front axle bearing...

Dangerous Situation Today With My M1009

Ok this may be impossible but I thought I would ask. I recently located a Corporate 14 semi floating rear axle. I know it's not a full floater but the price was right.. FREE! An uncle had an 85 3/4 ton Chevrolet just sitting out in a field collecting rust and he said if I could get it off it...

Dangerous Situation Today With My M1009

Anyone know of a good hub to replace it with? I actually have some auto hubs another member on here gave me a while back. I have no idea if they are complete or not though. I guess I need to break them out tonight and see if I can ID all the parts. I'm looking online and I can get Mile...

Dangerous Situation Today With My M1009

Yeah I figured the hub was shot. That gear that fell out looked like it engaged some teeth there in the hub. I forgot to mention that at least two were broken off. I'll go get some brake cleaner and try to see if I can see that thing. I don't have any snap ring pliers though so I'm not sure...

Dangerous Situation Today With My M1009

OK here is where I am. Not sure where to go from here. The manual I'm using is pretty dang vague. I'm about to go to the TM but figured I'd shoot a quick video as it's easier than typing it all in. Tried to embed but a link is just as good. http://youtu.be/XAxkvG_j9s4

So that would cause the brakes not to work?

Dangerous Situation Today With My M1009

Today my wife drove my M1009 for the first time ever. She drove about 20 miles to work this morning and had no problems. She went and picked up a friend (her first time to ride in a CUCV ever) and started to drive about 25 miles home. About 10 miles into the drive, going around 60 mph, she...

    M1009 RUG install

I've been told that if you use Line-X or Rhino Liner that it can also reduce the noise and heat. What I'm going to try and do is put down Lizard Skin sound insulation and then have Line-X sprayed over that. Then all seals replaced and insulation under the hood. I'll probably do the Lizard...

    Battery disconnect switch

Couldn't a solargizer fix your problem?

    testing your alternators

Have it tested at a shop or test it myself on the truck? They both put out the required power.

    testing your alternators

My Gen 2 light comes on sporadically web though the alternator was rebuilt. The voltage does not drop and the alternators test good. Any ideas? It only does it at idle.

    M101A2 Padeye

I had thought about that but now I may just go another route if someone doesn't have one they can do without.

    M101A2 Padeye

So how do I get a replacement?
  19. niferous

    M101A2 Padeye

Sorry forgot to attach it and also to better describe it. It's been a hectic night. It's what is on the front of the trailer and the bolt passes through to secure the trailer and keeps it from dumping.

    M101A2 Padeye

Are these things one piece? Mine broke and I'm not sure if the threads are part of the padeye or if they thread into it. If it is a solid piece where do I get a replacement?
