Uh, I forgot. Sorry. I started looking, then spent 2 days cleaning and got on to another project. Found some parts for my dually and worked on that for a while, went to a car show, purchased come leaf springs for the blazer, found all my winch parts, made some brackets. Found some pigtails and...
We are planning to go to the old car show and swap meet in Iola Thursday. It is only 140 miles for us, but we are planning to drive half way tonight and set up camp in the Black River State Forest. Maybe we will set up camp at Spaulding Pond or Potter Flowage rustic camp sites. It is a great...
It was the least expensive thing that I could find on Ebay. It cost around $20 shipped. I purchased it only because I could not find the correct intake hose. I'm still looking. As far as performance, it did not bring about the 20-30 additional Horse Power as promised on the ad.
This project never ends. Just a few things left and cannot find what I need. Missing 4 headlight rubber isolator mounts.
I decided to go with the stock windshield frame and soft top for the summer. I have to work out the gas tank issues. Got some leads on a 20 gallon boat tank to replace my 6...
Well, Someone needs to take a transmission apart and compare parts. I only have a good one or I would.
Many moons ago someone told me the military trans was different internally. I'm really interested to see.
It would be great if this works out! Everyone has the transmission fear hanging overhead...
"I almost forgot! I keep meaning to ask you guys if anybody has a spare glove box door knob/latch that they'd be willing to part with. Mine was lost years ago and the glovebox door flops down when I hit 25 mph."

I'd rather change to thicker oil in the trans. Are you running 10w or 30w or ATF? Hard to till from the pics of your drippins.
Have you considered duct taping a maxipad to...
The next one I do will be 60 or 80 grit on a Dual action sander, red rattle can primer and a cheep harbor freight spray gun with a remote tank to blow paint on. Nothing wrong with cab off and blast to bare metal. But you gotta decide if you like the 3 year project or the drive right now. Right...

That is so wrong. It really should go to someone who sees snow!
Great find. Many are aftermarket or shop built. Some aftermarket ones are even fiberglass. I prefer the original military ones.
Say, was there anything worthwhile attached to the bottom of that exhaust stack...
I'd say you got a heck of a deal on the trans. That is one good think about the ratrod guys I guess. I was fortunate enough to get an extra trans from a guy who bobbed a truck. Too bad the project ended in scrap. Keep on posting!
My back up plan has always been a short shaft TH400 with a small...
