Hello Team, Sorry for the late note on this. If you are interested in participating this year, please send me a note.
I need to get the security list submitted. Need your Name, first, middle, last. Date of Birth and state your Drivers license is from.
I have about 6 guys and 5 or 6 vehicles...
CUCV this project has been languishing for a long time. It is more fun sometimes to drive them than work on them. Dropped the stuff off and went back at the prescribed time and the guy said he hadn't got to it. Guy doesn't return calls and I haven't caught him at his shop the last few times I...
I wish mine looked that good. Body vertical in carport. Chassis at the 1SG's place and I think the radiator shop lost my tank and radiator. One of these days.
Scrapped paint, adjusted hood so that it can be opened without so much effort. it was a little too close to the cowl. Pondered on replacement of rt. front inner axle seal. Can hardly wait. And have been studying on the CTIS to figure out why rt. rear tire, keeps running out of air. Yes I...
There are several threads on the pros and cons of the 2 vs 4 battery issue. I went from 4 bad batteries to two good ones and it starts just fine. I did this 3 years ago in the 923 with no apparent issues. I am not running accessories or radios. It that is the plan, maybe 4 is best.
Put in two new batteries in the M923A2 yesterday and did some general cleanup. Have been scraping the floor boards. The rubberized paint that they used seems to be a water magnet and holds it in, add the floor mat, and it has caused some severe rust problems. Some good clean up and POR 15...
Picked up a M923A2 today. It has been sitting for quite awhile, so will need some care. Thought I might drive it home. Put a couple of batteries in it, fired right up, let it run for a bit, shut it down to do the paperwork, went out and it wouldn't start. No fuel was getting through...
Pulled a 923A2 out of the weeds. It had been sitting for most of the last two years. Batteries dead, several really low tires, no exhaust stack so a couple of gallons of water there. Also a couple or pretty good size hornets nest in the cab. Poured some fuel in the tank and managed to get it...
Show in the morning, bring your MV's out. You will be sharing the hangar floor with a P51 and a Spitfire. Not bad company to keep. I am taking the M923 and the 1SG will have his M923A1 there. I was there this afternoon and it is shaping up to be a good show. Come on out and chew the fat...
Sorry if you missed the PBR today. it was a good time. Got some work done on the PBR and also on their M931. They removed the 5th wheel and put a flat deck on it with some bus seats to use for the parades. One of the guys built a nice rail and chain system around the deck for safety. Today...
I have had the M886 for a dozen years. Had an intermittent starting issue that as stated above ended up being a bad ammeter gauge. Of all things a paper clip had fallen on the terminals of the gauge and it would cause problems. I was stymied and took it to a local mechanic and when he finally...
Wanted to refresh this one. Anyone coming out for the PBR next Saturday. There is a GShow at the SW WA Fairgrounds. Take in that show and then come see the PBR. If anyone has questions, give me a call. 360 870 0706 Peter
The bulbs that are in it, 24v will work, but be dim, or you can go with the LED bulbs (sorry don't remember the numbers) and pull it on either 12 or 24. If you end up using your tow lights, if they are magnetic, there is a lot of aluminum on that trailer. You might want something you could...
The M38A1 is just a darn good jeep. I have a 42 GPW, 51 M38, and 53 M38A1. I enjoy the comfort of the M38A1. The 38A1 was my first MV, got it 30 years ago and am still enjoying it, but picked up and M151A2 a year ago and could now be spoiled by that one.. Happy trails.
