It only turns when the truck is moving so stationary impliments will be out of the question.
Will it turn fast enough/slow enough for other impliments?
Better using a PTO off trans/transfer w/shaft to back like Jeep/Dodge Power Wagon.
Was watching some U-Tube videos. A couple of them shows some jeeps lining up for a parade in the Phillipines. Notice the grill on the M38A1 is horizontal and not verticle. Phillipine made perhaps?
I believe the M38A1's serial numbers all start out with "MD" .
Your serial number indicates a CJ-5 but it may also be a "export" serial number.
Some searching on CJ-5 sites should answer that for you.
I like how solid the body is, just like new!!
Could you tell us the story on the jeep and what...
That must be one big Field Artillery outfit to have at least 75 trucks!! (See #'s on bumper).
They probably humped alot of ammo. I see thier dropsides. Pity the soldiers unloading them by hand in the field.
In Germany they used GOERS.
Re: RE: Re: RE: Dead trailer(s)
Thats what I'm talking about. It's possible that this trailer may have a drive system on it also. With or without a crane sysyem, would'nt that be a ideal machine if MV trailers could do the same thing!
I think it could be done with the front wheel being used to "steer" the trailer. Than just swing it up when not in use like a regular trailer wheel.
Just think of how handy something like this would be to say go down into the woods, load up a load of firewood and than be able to swing it in...
Got your attention I bet!
This is gonna be way off topic.
As you know everyone is gonna die. Recently we buried a cousin. At the cemetary I noticed that the crane trailer that they use to bring in the "box for the box", (ie the vault for the casket) had a differential under it.
I surmised that...
Okay, first question or observation. Noticed on GL related postings here or postings about HMETTS that there is always alot of surplus, (new and used) cabs about for these trucks.
