When I was in the Army we used black out lights during night operations. I was in an armored unit (4/112 Armor) and drove an M998 HMMWV and a M557 Tracked Command Vehicle. On both vehicles we used our regular driving lights during the day and at night while driving on the hard ball (road). As...
Why would he need a different transfer case? Chevrolet used the NV4500 as a standard trans same as the Dodge for years. If anything he will probably just have to get an adapter kit.
I don't move trucks but I move a whole lot of oilfield equipment. If he thinks he can get that much from loggers than why doesn't he do it? Probably because the lumber industry is in the hurt locker real bad right now and mills aren't accepting new raw lumber. Your money in his hand today is...

I usually stick with Wix or Baldwin. I will also use NAPA since they are just a relabeled Wix. However there is an O'Reilly by my house that stocks Wix so I just go with those. I generally stay away from Fram and Purolator.
So where is the place to buy these things? Everywhere I look on the net people are under or just at $2k and I haven't been able to fine one for less than $2200.
I thought about steel too simply for the cost and the ease of welding. However I like aluminum because it's light and easier to work with and bend. Also it won't rust. I also though about making one out of diamond plate aluminum. I will have to see how much I can get a sheet for and and then...
