    First '52 XM211

I finished and had the boys help me push it inside by hand. Not real good at backing up that haywagon. I plan to do some repair work on the bed later tonight. Need to weld a few holes shut. Obviously the previous owner drilled holes with a torch. Happy to have that nasty job behind me. :D

Woke up early and started sandblasting at 0700. Started out about 7 degrees above zero. When I quit about noon it got up to 22 above. The air compressor is inside the heated shop and about 75' of airhose laid in the snow. The cold made the water in the hose condense and freeze up the line...

I found a winch from a M211 on CL for $150. I have all the linkages and I have a line in a PTO and shafts.

Contemplating a Bobber! To do or not to do that is the question!

I believe you may want to shift the transfer to neutral if you are using the winch to pull something else and you do not want the truck to drive. If you have a winch.

Does it have a title? Any paperwork in the glove compartment? Maybe you could backtrack thru previous owners?

    m135 odd ball

A good friend of mine just purchased a nice M35A2w/w. The seller included this in the deal. It is a 1952 M211w/w, REB, hardtop, hotwater heater and clear title. As far as I'm concerned he got this for nothing. It is a good runner, shifts good, working brakes, good rubber, 6 original wheels and...

    M135 Front Hub #'s VS M135 Rear Hub #'s

Thanks Butch. I did see it in the manual, but did not believe it. The pilot threw me. Makes perfect sense now. Thanks again. [thumbzup] Dan

    XM211 goes to school

Welcome to Steel Soldiers! You have a beautiful truck. Is that exhaust as nice as it looks? Do you know anything about its history? Where has it been for the last 20 years? Can't wait for more pics and info.

    M135 Front Hub #'s VS M135 Rear Hub #'s

Does anyone know what size socket I need to buy for the spindle nut? I'm looking at Superdave's picture item "B" Thanks Dan

    M135

I agree with Stan. Transmissions are big and heavy and hard to find when you want one. If you find one, snarf it up! The brakes are where I'm choking right now. I'd check out Gunfreaks threads, he has way more patients and attention to detail that I have. I'll share my personal experience...

Dumb question about transfer case and driveshafts

Is that little flat lever under the seat by your right heel up or down?

I think I will find a 14g square tube that measures 2.5"sq. and rip it down with the cutoff wheel. I need 20" but 36" will go all the way to the back. I drove all over today, but everything is closed.

I found some metal the same thickness and used the angle grinder with a cutoff wheel to square the round hole. I flushed it up and stitch welded it after I tacked it in.

Trailer Tow Lights - HF Sale $11.99

I has a set and the one fell off and was ground up really bad. The magnet held to the trailer, but the light fell off the magnet. Went back and got a second set free. The second time I used HF zip ties to secure the lights and wiring. Worked much better. No problems. My brother borrowed them to...
