I believe you may want to shift the transfer to neutral if you are using the winch to pull something else and you do not want the truck to drive. If you have a winch.

I agree with Stan. Transmissions are big and heavy and hard to find when you want one. If you find one, snarf it up! The brakes are where I'm choking right now. I'd check out Gunfreaks threads, he has way more patients and attention to detail that I have. I'll share my personal experience...

I think I will find a 14g square tube that measures 2.5"sq. and rip it down with the cutoff wheel. I need 20" but 36" will go all the way to the back. I drove all over today, but everything is closed.

I found some metal the same thickness and used the angle grinder with a cutoff wheel to square the round hole. I flushed it up and stitch welded it after I tacked it in.

I has a set and the one fell off and was ground up really bad. The magnet held to the trailer, but the light fell off the magnet. Went back and got a second set free. The second time I used HF zip ties to secure the lights and wiring. Worked much better. No problems. My brother borrowed them to...
