You obviously don't sleep at night either?
All I know about the brakes is the hand brake is one good one.
I should bleed them before I put the tires back on. I also have one leaking rear wheel seal. Got any idea what size the rear axle nut is?
Sounds like the weather is going to be clear today. I will put the truck on blocks and paint the frame before I put the tires on. I got a carb rebuild kit from maccus, needs it bad. Have to run the choke 3/4 to keep it going. May as well get that done this weekend too.
Got them mounted tonight. 7 done, 3 more need to get aired up. Spare has a hole in the tube. I'll get it fixed Tuesday.
Purchased a second 50' hose and put my air valve between the hoses and added a clamp on chuck at the end. I was able to air them up from inside the concrete stairwell. The last...
Yea, I think you are right maccus. I need to wear gloves when I paint. The trigger fingers and knuckles of the ring finger gets painted every time I use the gun from the leaking seals.
I'll buy a new HVLP after this one starts to not work as good.
Sold the M101a1 today $400. Maybe a new...
I moved it out of the shop today. It is in the neighbor's shed. I need to focus on the red 211 this month or I will never get them done! More on this later in a diffreent thread. Back to the M211 build!
I really did not want to post that project yet, I uploaded the wrong picture.
I got the wheels back from the sandblaster this week. He put a coat of primer on them for me. I sprayed the first coat of paint on the easy side of the wheels tonight. Let them dry for a day or so and hit the inside next.
Took the plate off the transfer case Sunday and sent it to my Brother in Wyoming. He found a guy who will sell the pto from his truck for $100. Plate went out priority mail Monday morning. Took the family out in the car for ice cream. Came home and it was starting to rain. Jumped in the truck...
Painted the cab today. A couple runs was able to smooth with my finger after they became stiff. Second coat covered them well. Looks great from 10' feet! I'm happy with it so far. Rims will be back from sand blaster this week, Then I'll paint them Red too. I hope to have the tires on by Labor...
Well, that is my plasma cutter. I don't use it much. After 20 years of teaching extrication at the F.D. I have become a fan of the sawzall. -smooth edges, no warping, no slag burns in my tennies, no sparks in my chest hairs, and it is less likely to start one of those embarassing fire chief...
I really appreciate the people I've met on this site. Everyone has bent over backwards to help me out. It is very rewarding to come here and both gain and share knowledge. Heck, a couple SS members got me into this hobby. I met a few more who helped move a member's trucks from Georgia to...
Thanks, I found it on the map. Only about 3 hours from here. I have the weekend off. I plan to come and sleep in the back of the Deuce. Is it ok to bring Troops? (2 boys 9yo)
That be New Holland red $34.99 a gallon Farm & Fleet. Best part is it comes in spray bomb too. That way I can get a case of bombs and sit around the camp site and paint stuff while we are talking smart.
