I too found wrong, damaged, extra parts inside the front axle seals of my first truck. I recommend that you follow the TM and use your experience to sort it out.
Lack of experience of the boys who worked on your rig is what I assume led to your situation.

Brian, thank you for bringing your services onto this forum. At this time I do not have a need for your service, but in the future, when I do, I'll be sure to utilize your "widget"!
Question: In your opinion, what is the impact of having a strict load out date on the price per mile?

Thread resurrection!
I am probably not the only forum participant to own both a Studebaker car and a few deuces built at the South Bend, Indiana plant.
Does anyone have a more precise history of the production of the physical plant? That may be another way to look at the history of the deuce...
I suggest you wait and score a complete, 10k PTO winch kit from a fellow SS member. Installation would be straight forward and then you would own what is in my opinion the deuce trifecta: dropsides, winch and hardtop!

Well done son! She looks complete, how's it drive?

Sadly, I resemble that remark. I just try to make do and let the chips fall where they may.
Thanks for your efforts and abilities in making this site function. I appreciate this site and use it as my "go to" information source.

I recall that I heard the dropsides comprised somewhere near 10% of the production. Hope that observation helps you in some way.....

It would be a worthy project to crowd source a purchase from WR and donate the truck to the OP.
WIN for WR for a successful truck flip.
WIN to the OP to re reunited with his rig
WIN for this group to do what's right
I don't know how to set it up, but I'd sure participate.
Rick
Beautiful truck! And I'm always in awe of anyone who has a collection of vehicles. It's like having a parts warehouse in house!
Can you tell me: what is the box structure running over the cab and rear enclosure?
Rick
