    John Tennis AKA JATonka

I had the pleasure to meet John yesterday at his AO. I told him my reason for visiting was to purchase 2 complete filter kits for my trucks, but really I wanted to meet him and have a look at his operations. It was a wonderful trip up the Mohawk River valley, and upon arrival I was impressed by...

    2016 Weare New Hampshire Rally

I'm seeking the following deuce parts. Send me a PM please: * Soft top (prefer new) * In-tank pump (good used) * E-brake cable * A pair of windshields I won't be attending, but the Eastern Mass SS convoy might be agreeable to transporting those items for me. Thanks, Rick

    Helmets When Driving

I live in a hot climate, where wearing a helmet is very uncomfortable. But so is not wearing a helmet, and thus I'm frequently breaking the skin on my bald head. Has anyone tried to use or fashion a "Parker Pumper" helmet for road use? The Parker Pumper is an off road helmet system that pumps...

    Brake Bleeding Unnecessary on Deuce?

I recently discovered there is a retro-fit fix for the deuce brake light switch, eliminating the hydraulic switch and replacing it with an air activated switch. I think I saw it on Erick's or Saturn Surplus. Rick

Enough Utter Confusion EUC merry go round ski

Jwade, thank you for your contribution to our hobby. You are a credit to your employer. To give some perspective to your operations, can you tell us the approximate number of monthly rolling stock sales, and what percentage of those sales require an EUC? And of those sales requiring an EUC, how...

    Any Ideas of clutch inspection?

Neither of the methods I know of for measuring the clutch in place are really gonna tell you anything. It's hard to read the thickness of the disc, and different manufacturers may make it impossible to determine. And, if you measure the finger height of the pressure plate fingers, you will need...

    1984 M1028 CUCV – parts/scrap or beater truck?

I think you answered your own question: The M715 is a long term project and you would like a beater/hauler for the short term. So you now have two projects. I suggest you increase your budget and/or allocate your existing hobby budget accordingly. We all share the same disease and the...

Prepairing for Packing her in a shipping Container....

I once received a quote to ship a truck on a rack from Huston to Central America. The cost was a factor of three over Ro/Ro. As I recall, the racks can be loaded last, on top of the other containers. Thus they will accept some overhang on one or two sides. Rick
