    48 Dodge Ambulance "Camper"

Not to be nit-picky, but....oh, heck! Being nit-picky, there's no outfit called Citreon in France that I'm aware of, and I'm a car nut who spent 15 years in Europe. There is a French auto maanufacturer called Citroen, but they have never been in the business of converting surplus US military...

how to tell if my m 37 has a governor

Original engines were Dodge (model) T245 engines. If yours is an original, it will have "T245" on the left front side of the head. Unless it has been modified, it will also have a governor on it.

    Strata Blue Deuce Pics?

I, for one, would love to see you redo it in Strata blue with AF markings. I used to see them like that all the time back in the '60s and early to mid '70s. The first deuce I ever drove was blue with yellow markings. Pretty truck! :) And yes, even though the trucks were blue, all canvas...

    make time out LONGER

I tried FoxFire for a while, but my computer or my ISP didn't seem to like it. My son-in-law recently switched to Opera, which isn't bad and has the added benefit that no one has gotten around to attacking it with unwanted viruses. Right now, I'm still using IE and having no problems with...

Looking for suggestions on what to do with this nifty little gas-turbine genset...

28 volts DC is exactly what you need to power a telephone switchboard. It should also serve quite nicely to jump-start any vehicle with a 24 volt system. I have no idea where the "400 hz" figure came from unless the laws of physics have been amended since I studied it in high school. ;)

    WTK connex box trailer

They are correctly called "mobilizers," but generally referred to as "dollies." There are several different models, each with its own "M number." The one you need will be determined by the "box" you want to attach it to. I've used several different mobilizers with various communications...

    Wanted M-37 near Maine

I have one available. The engine has a rod sticking out of the block, but I also have a freshly rebuilt engine to go in it. I'm nowhere near Maine, though. My profile still says Illinois, but I'm actually in Lavonia, Georgia. If interested, you can either drop me an e-mail or PM me.

Where can I find the Military FC-Jeep based truck on this forum?

Yes, indeed! We had Econoline pickups and vans in my ANG outfit and they were available for sign-out from the motor pools at Ramstein AB (Germany), Scott AFB (IL), Vandenburg AFB (CA) when I was stationed at those locations. They were very popular with the troops. I don't have any pics, but the...

    1939 International D-1, 1/2 ton 4x4

Sounds like one of the Dodge WC series from WWII. Hard to pin it down without pics, though.

    Malibu, California-Style Black Deuce

It's purty, but like the folks here in NE Georgia say..."it just ain't right!" ;)

    To all Members.

I believe that his intent was to say that he was unhappy with the fact that many threads drift farther and farther from the original topic as they get longer and longer (much like this one has done). On the avatar issue, I must sadly report that I'm beginning to resemble mine! :(

    All dressed up Deuce ride

Oh...I forgot to congratulate your son on completing the first step toward becoming an officer in the USAF. I'd also like to offer him a word of advice: "After receiving your commission, always treat your NCOs with dignity, ask for their advice when needed, and respect their suggestions. They...

    All dressed up Deuce ride

Nothing wrong with that! :) In my nearly 30 years in the AF, I logged a lot of miles in an MV while wearing my blues. Never drove one off a dock, though!

    M37 pulled from service

I retired from the Air Force in 1989 (Dang! 20 years ago already?), and there were still a couple of them in the motor pool at Offutt AFB. There were also a couple of M43s hiding out at the base hospital.

    Tough Times

Confusing geography, ain't it? My info still shows me living in Abingdon, IL, but he wife and I have been stahing with our daughter and her family in Lavonia, GA for the last 6 months. So far, we have been unable to find either a house we can afford or jobs, so the wife wants to take our house...

Where to list my 1954 M-37 for sale

It took me a couple of tries, too, and I thought I knew how to navigate this forum! Sorry to see you have to sell yours, too. I just hope it's not for the same reason I do. :(
