    Bringing to Aberdeen 2011

Given the observations that GL auction prices are rising and that SS participation is building, I don't think the vendor attendance is an indicator of a decline in the hobby. A maturation of the hobby may be occuring, which may lead to a shift in participants towards those with greater...

Thanks to George at White Owl

I went overboard and studied the M35 parts manual a little too hard before emailing George for some parts. He expressed astonishment at my list of NSN numbers and then proceeded to address each and everyone of my parts needs..... using my spreadsheet and part numbers, correcting them and...

G'day From Chris - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA

G,day Chris and welcome. I'm sure there are plenty of options for your idea about obtaining a US MV, however I must warn you that a large part of this group is unfamiliar with the export laws and often will chose not to sell their rigs to non-US citizens. You will probably realize your dream...

    Price for a GOAT

Sig, we understand your frustration. The mods don't think they have it figured out. What is happening is that there is a wave of newbs signing up on SS to sell stuff and the mods are trying to figure out how to slow the bombardment..... sometimes causing collateral damage with seasoned vets like...

    M35a2 vs m35a3

A2 owners overwhelmingly recommend the A2. A3 owners overwhelmingly recommend the A3. I recommend purchasing and owning both, so as to eliminate any competition. Rick

    Price for a GOAT

Sig229, I do not have an answer to your question but I do admire your style. You did a search and posted on an old thread that was relevant. The 100 post rule is something that some people bitch about and others surmount. Welcome to the site and I look forward to your posts. Rick

    Bringing to Aberdeen 2011

Wow, you guys are really fortunate to be within striking distance of the MV event of events. I see that I will have to plan my stateside visit next year around springtime instead of summer...... Please all of you, stay healthy and alive for another year so that we can all convene in Aberdeen...

Wanted: opinions on our custom mirrors

Good looking pieces! Being more than a little thrifty, I usually run whatever came on the truck. However from experience I must say that a design that does not need to be unbolted to be secured for woods (or jungle!) driving is optimal. What I think would be optimal is a system that can be...

A tricky question for the SS oracles

droopypete, My advise on the flatrack is to get a price. They are way over the top mate. Ro/Ro works OK inbound to the US from Aus, however I have no experience with outbound. Again, get prices from a Melbourne shipping broker. Deuce dimensions: Length= 7.0m Width= 2.4m Height= 2.8m Weight=...

    Lights & Gauges went out

Could be a main power switch as well. I recommend using a voltmeter tomorrow as you check first the battery voltage at the battery posts, then onto the cables, and onwards towards the main switch and light switch. Rick

    Finished WMO filter 2nd video

Thanks for posting up. you filmed EXACTLY what I wanted to know: what does 10psi do @ warm temps. I got all the pieces coming for my set up. I'll be pushing about 10psi (or slightly more) into a tote (120 gallon plastic tank), then through 3 filters (10, 5 and 3 micron w/water separator) like...

    Finished WMO filter 2nd video

Dude, that's WAY better!!! The viewing tube rocks and it finally demonstates what 10psi does to push oil through your 2 filters! What was the ambient air temperature when you filmed that video? It looked warm outside, but what was the temp inside your garage? X2 on the bobber jobber. did you...
