I notice a lot of 800 series 5 tons on big construction jobs. There's a job going close to my home, and they are running about 10 or so older 800 series with the vintage sheet metal still on.
I just picked up a m35a2 from a private party. So far I'm $4550 in, and the $50 was fuel for the drive home :)

I just bought a USAF deuce from another member on here, and I will be posting the info to add to the registry! The truck has all the data plates and is in very fair condition. I'll try to get the info when I get home this weekend.
I'm thinkin about swapping my shortened deuce bed for a full length deuce bed, and deleting spare tire mount and tool box on the m818. I really want to run a cargo cover on the bed.
Sounds like you have the emergency stop worked out. What seems weird is the white smoke. Wouldn't that be unburned fuel? The fuel cutoff solenoid could be faulty also.
