    Survival 109 build

Maybe? Haha. I went all RH thread on mine for simplicity and I was doing the hub flip so I needed new studs anyways.

All the stuff I did to my deuce, right here

With the upgrades and location I'd start at 10-12k. Shame to see it go

    Survival 109 build

I had a similar problem with the studs on my rear axles. Cut them off with a torch and replaced all my studs with RH thread. No issues since

    Red's deuce/camper project

That's how we unloaded it from my roommates Tundra, 2 ton engine hoist rental. Haha Valence we need to get working on the wrecker. Have you tried to fire it up again since Friday? Will bring some tools home and take a closer look at the motor. Looking like some oil leaks as expected. Going to...

    Red's deuce/camper project

The motor came as advertised and expected for a 1982 engine, couple leaks to take care of. Thanks for the transportation offer! It's in the garage so for storage I'm good for awhile, transportation we will figure something out. Wrecker up for a long trip in a few weeks? ;) haha

    M818 better fuel mileage

I'd start with either pulling the drive shafts to the 2 extra axles or pulling the axle shafts and making blank caps for them, reduce the drag. From there its getting the rpm's down and the power up so the truck can cruise easier. Dual fuel mod, turbo, fan clutch, air filter mod, fuel...

    Red's deuce/camper project

Called on both transmissions today. The 18 speed sold already and the 13 speed needs new bearings as well (full rebuild). Outta my current price range so I'll keep looking. On the bright side, the engine arrives tomorrow!!

5 ton bed on a Deuce?

I'd say leave the bed as is. If your worried about towing it would not be difficult to lengthen the frame if required.

Might have found a trans for cheap as well. Eaton/Fuller RTLO-16918B. Overkill being that it's rated for over 1,600 ft/lbs of torque continuous 18 speed with a .73:1 final overdrive. 32" long, and a cheap price tag. Also found a rtoof-9513 for the same price, but it needs new syncros. 13...

    Survival 109 build

http://www.roadranger.com/rr/ProductsServices/ProductsbyCategory/Transmissions/PCT_486870 Here's a link to the models they have and their gear ratios. I'm either going with the RTOO series (3 overdrive 13 speed) with my 395's or going with the Spicer 6453 from the m800 series 5 ton and...

    Survival 109 build

There is a post about it on the forum, I gotta dig it up (linked in my build thread as well). He installed a 5 speed if I remember right, .79 overdrive. I'm wanting to install their RTOO9513, 14513, or 16513 in mine. 13 speed with 12:1 1st gear, and a .62 final overdrive with no big gaps...

You can fit a Eaton/Fuller transmission in there. Takes care of the transmission problems.

Previous owner probably capped the wrong line after seeing what you saw today.

That vent line coming out of the master cylinder cap, if it's connected, allows the air that is leaving the airpack to vacuum brake fluid out of the master cylinder reservoir. There are 2 vent lines there that get tied together. One from the airpack, and a short (bout 12-18" long) T that runs...
