I thought I saw a post somewhere about the timing buttons being more available now, maybe on Ebay? I can't find it in search but then again I am lousy at search phrases. I really need to get the pump changed on my spare 002.

If it is set up through the step down resistor on the firewall and you jump the relay with only five good plugs you will have zero good plugs real fast! If you want to try jumping them I would disconnect the two large wires going to the plugs and jump directly to them with one battery, 12 volts...
Ga. to NY. in a truck with 4:56 gears! That is gonna be a looooong loud ride. The glow plugs are probably blown out and if they are swelled and break off in the head then the head has to come off. I don't think you want to be doing that on the road. If the glow plugs are not working then how has...
Looks like most CUCV's at 50,000. I would go with that but remember that service on these was nowhere near as good as in older years. I live on the firing ranges of Ft. Dix and I see trucks all the time with lights out, half flat tires, broken windows. When I was in (1969) you NEVER saw that. It...
I am not trying to be a spoiler here but I have been in the market for a 925 and I have been seeing them selling all day long for 4000.00 and down. You are talking about some dangerous combinations here and the guys have been pretty good about not bringing that up. You even asked what a trailer...
I know there are a bunch of D198ER engines going up for auction. They are used in the MEP 004- 005 Gen-sets. I always thought they would be a neat thing to have for log splitters or such, just don't know about connecting them up.
Lets see, ten dollars cheaper each and no shipping, How much would you want to pay extra? I figure all told the price would be about double. I prefer to save that extra for the things that I can only get from the vendors.
Something had to seize to cause that shaft to break. It is not "just a broken shaft". There is more to the picture. I would plan on the core being junk. I also have to agree with the WMO, These are straight, clean diesel motors.
You are aware that the civvie blazer also came with a diesel aren't you? The trucks are exactly the same except for the funky military wiring on the CUCV which in reality is a detriment because you cannot just go to any junkyard for parts. The mechanicals are all the same between the civvie and...
You may want to check those panels well for fit. You will most likely find they are too tall top to bottom amd will be too long to put the dash support on and also will have the wrong radius. I have a TON of picture of the bad panels I got from them. I was promised my money back but when I asked...
I know there is supposed to be a chat or Facebook page for when the site is down. I have never been able to access chat and can't find the Facebook page, just a Steel Soldiers band. Not my type.
I think you meant "Hydraulically" operated. Hydrologics is a little outside the realm of an Allison transmission even as big as it is.:lol::lol:
You know that Blackstone can analyze transmission oil too. Might not hurt to send in a sample to see what it has in it. I am thinking mechanical linkage somewhere, inside the valve body most likely. The pump is working and the mainshaft is connected since you have reverse. A broken band strut or...
Being 6 days later and no report I guess we can assume he made it home. It would be nice that when you have a dozen or more people jumping through hoops and traveling long distances to help you out that you report the end result or at least that you got home safe.
There were A2's there late in our time there, The regular A2's went to the MP's and the rest were 825's with TOW setup's on them. I never saw a regular A2 in the field, just the towns and cities with the MP's. We did give a bunch of them to the ARVINS when we "left".
