air pressure gauges at different pressures?

Switch the lines to verify and give yourself peace of mind and then remember to switch back. Most gauges have a small amount of adjustment with a little screw on the lower face or back of the gauge. You want to check with a third gauge first though to make sure you are adjusting the right gauge.

    M923 Transmission Assistance Please!

Also pay close attention to what is in the pan when you take it down. Small metal pieces are bad, dark fuzz stuck to the magnet is normal. Not real familiar with the Allison but most autos use more oil in reverse than in the forward gears so that would tell me the pick up and pump are good and...

What to put in a M151 for display?

A little hint about the radio chatter, the one you like so much about the ambush.......................... some may not like it as well as yourself. Upbeat stuff like normal chatter from patrols and aircraft is fine but be careful with the ambush and live action stuff. Flashbacks are very...

    MEMBER DOWN, Washington, PA

25 volts is 3 volts too low. I suspect there is still a charging system issue there. I like the cheap generator and charger idea. Just big enough for two outlets and two cheapo chargers and some bungee cords.

    bolt question

I was just looking at the pictures and I do have to say that they do not show the bolts. Look at numbers 6, 12 and 5 and follow the lines to the right through the bracket and they go to ......................... nothing. Not taking sides, just pointing it out.

looking for info on 5.9 cummins

A dead lift pump is not necessarily a death sentence for the VP-44 injection pump. I have had two lift pumps go out, one was dead when I bought the truck, could have been dead for a long time. Same general symptoms, that was when I found no pressure and replaced it. Same symptoms. Installed a...

    MEP-002 Cranks but won't Start

Mine warms up without a load, takes about ten to fifteen minutes. At least enough for the oil pressure to drop. The shutters will never open unless there is a load on it.

    MEP-002 Cranks but won't Start

I run 15W-40 in mine. If you suspect the valve is stuck you can try running some Marvel Mystery oil in the crankcase. Add per directions and it may just free up the valve nd save you a lot of work. I am not a big fan of additives but I have seen MMO work enough times to know that it will work...

    MEP-002 Cranks but won't Start

Pull the gauge out and out a known good gauge there and verify it is actually high or the gauge is bad.

    Allison M916 + Mk48 Cab = 6x6 "FEMTT"

Remember he said he needed the truck done for a job in April. It is April, he may be thrashing with no time for chat or pictures. As was mentioned, the job has to pay for the truck and if the truck isn't done then the job does not pay for the truck. That would be bad.

    Help with Death Shake/Wobble

CUCV's do not have sway bars other than maybe the dual wheel models. Those I am not sure but if they do the bushings are no big deal. I am thinking you mean something else? Maybe the spring bushings? If the spring bushings you will need a socket that bears against the metal sleeve part of the...

    Allison M916 + Mk48 Cab = 6x6 "FEMTT"

And while you are at it can you come over and fix all this stuff I thought I could do?:roll: (Sorry Drew, Just couldn't pass on that opportunity:twisted:)

    Allison M916 + Mk48 Cab = 6x6 "FEMTT"

I was going to ask you this when it was all done but by that time you will be headed out on your job so here it is. This build has been way beyond the scope of most of the people on here and I can say I have built some strange stuff. WAAAAY beyond anything I would have tackled! Did at any point...

I will try to load this video, not real good quality but might give you an idea. It was a lot steeper that it looks. The site will not upload the one I want but here is one to check out. I will look for another and add it later if I find a suitable one. Rick

PM me your e-mail and I will send you some I took from my M-151 a couple of years ago. There are some trails that are a little rough but others are mainly gravel roads. Rick

    Diamond T M20 Prime Mover

You have to love the old stuff! Other than being huge it is very straight forward not a bad job. Can you still get gaskets for this or did you use RTV? Still haven't seen any mention of why you are selling her after all you went through to get her. Rick
