    Red's deuce/camper project

Sold the trailer so I had to move the stuff to the deuce. After I sold the shelter I didn't need all the cargo room haha. Couple pics to give y'all an visual of the roller and winch in action. I need to make a platform to do this better, the wooden crate won't hold up to repeated use.

    53s on a m923a2

Great to know on the tire size availability.

    UPFINN's Deuce Build

Looks like a great list. Since your planning to use bed liner make sure you take your time and completely clean up the rust.

    M923A2 Doing 80 MPH!!

You can safely get a deuce cruising at 65mph. Brakes, tires, power steering, and overdrive upgrades are required.

Dual circuit brake using pinion and wheel brakes.

You can do disk brakes per axle at about $600. F750 rotors with F550 calipers.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

The threads on the new external reservoir cap allow enough venting for the hydraulic part of the brake system

Has anyone built a big slide-in "truck" camper for a M35 Deuce?

It's a MUST expanding shelter, weight is around 4k pounds. The skid only dragged about halfway across the bed, no real signs of wear. I've sold that shelter. A wooden board under the skid would prevent any wear concerns.

    Red's deuce/camper project

Ordered a raptor 150hp. Rated for 75psi and 150 gallons per hour. Higher flow rate than required but the pressure capability is what's required. Runs on 12 volts so the second alternator is going on before the trip. This all had to happen right before the trip didn't it. Costing more money...

From one border to the other in a deuce and m105

Delayed until next week since the boost pump is dead. This whole getting delayed week after week is driving me up the wall

Dual circuit brake using pinion and wheel brakes.

If you need a guinea pig in about 2-3 months I'm down. Gotta get moved, find a new job, and settled in first

Another option is a winch and bed roller like I'm using. Moved the bed back a few inches, mounted a winch. Cable runs over the roller down to the bottom front of whatever I need to pick up, then pulls it right on up in the bed.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Replaced the in tank pump and confirmed that the high pressure pump is worn out. Keeps delaying the trip

Dual circuit brake using pinion and wheel brakes.

I'd argue that. Yes the rotors will probably warp and need to be turned but they would stop the truck faster. But, more rotors helps spread the load and reduce the heat

Dual circuit brake using pinion and wheel brakes.

2 is much better than the stock setup, but more is even better

Dual circuit brake using pinion and wheel brakes.

To cover both emergency brakes and a long term parking brake could use the rotors from a Chevy 2500 pickup with eldorado calipers. Nice and thick rotors that are cheap/easy to replace, with a mechanical parking brake built in.

    Red's deuce/camper project

Borrowing a picture from another thread. I plugged the relief valve port on the high pressure pump, no change. Unless there is something I'm missing with diagnostics, the HP pump is dead. Would explain why I always had longer crank times to start before (worn out). Haven't found a stock...

    Red's deuce/camper project

All new DOT fuel lines, 1/2 inch. Brand new filters as well. I drove 15 hours with these fuel lines and the old filters. Tank looks clean inside and the pickup screen on the old fuel pump looks fine. Moved the pressure gauge along the system and here's the readings with lift pump only. Tank...

New fuel filters. No visible signs of fuel in the oil. No pressure readings after the final filter.

    Red's deuce/camper project

With the injector lines removed from the HH the fuel will spray up about 8-12 inches initially. After a few seconds it drops to 3-5 inches.

Thanks y'all! New lift pump is installed, 9psi. Still not providing enough pressure to supply the injection pump.
