Getting ready to move from Midland Texas up to Bellingham Washington. I'll be driving the m35a2 with cargo cover and a m105 in tow. Camping out of the deuce and all the stuff I'm bringing with me will be in the trailer.
Planning to camp for most of the trip.
Will do. The trailer is loaded up with most of my stuff. Will have the cover on the deuce next week and should be ready soon after that. Planning to stay at camp sites most of the trip.
As I mentioned to some of the guys at the Texas rally I've decided to sell the MUST shelter. One of my roommates bought it and I'll be dropping it off at his hunting land on Wednesday.
Was concerned about the tall flat front and its effect on fuel economy/speed. Plus I don't have the time to...
Also need to take into account what kind of sleeves the engine uses. Wet, dry, or no sleeves? Dry sleeves (what the multi uses) are the least susceptible to pH issues.
Will be moving in about 2 weeks and will have some extra room in my deuce and M105 for cargo. Texas, Arizona, Utah, Idaho, Oregon, and Washington are the states I'll be passing through.
Drove the truck about 30 miles today to my friends welding shop. With the MUST shelter in I can eventually get to 55mph, but 50 is more common. Sustained EGT's of 1000-1100 with the throttle lock maxed (travels further than my pedal).
The welder is building the bed roller, and (time permitting)...
All back together, fires up with the pedal floored. Idle has dropped to 700rpm, was at 1,000 before. Idle is a little too low for when the truck is cold, stalls out.
Got it.
Also learned that the adjustment screw on my FDC does not have a Allen slot. Turning the nut does not rotate the screw on mine, just moves it in/out.
Yes, I set it back to where it was.
Well the fuel rod seems to be moving just fine. Cleaned it up and it moves without resistance/snaps forward.
Pull the bolt to access the plunger in the hydraulic head. Placed a punch in there and slapped it with my hand, marked it, and turned the engine over. Fuel seems to be flowing well...
