    Red's deuce/camper project

Tried the pedal (always had to) with no effect. Who sells the seals for the HH? I'll pull the fuel rod cover off tomorrow, test, then HH. Doesn't look like its going to the Texas rally if its the HH, shipping.

    2015 TX MV Rally

I'll be passing through there with my duramax. If I can get my hands on a pintle hitch I'll tow it to the Rally

    Red's deuce/camper project

Well tried pull starting repeatedly, injector lines are still dry. When I bypassed the FDC I installed plugs rather than looping the lines back to the FDC. Potential problem there? If not that, then I'm leaning towards the hydraulic head. I've always had to crank for an extended period for...

    Red's deuce/camper project

Well, its being stubborn to start. Getting fuel to the injection pump (open the return line and its flowing), just not flowing to the injectors it seems.

    Red's deuce/camper project

Some progress over the last 2 days. Fuel lines to and from the injection pump are complete, feed line to the intake heater is plugged, final filter is filled with regular diesel to make the test start tomorrow easier. Also my last day at work is next Wednesday, April 1st. Will take a week or...

Spring 2015 to-do list for the Deuce

Looks great. With the coolant hose by the turbo a easy fix would be to take a short piece of hose that will fit over the coolant line, and zip tie it in place.

    BFR's Cranetruck

For a ark welder you can run it directly off of a 12v alternator, don't have to buy one. Just wire in a battery disconnect to prevent overcharge.

Moving from Texas to Bellingham Washington

Oh the layoff is not unexpected. Back in late January they let go of most the employees, kept a handful of us around to pack up the drilling rigs and get them ready to sell. Big question is if we are getting a severance package haha.

    2015 TX MV Rally

Any of the San Angelo and north of Austin area members up for a caravan? Also is anyone driving a wrecker there? Could use some help moving the shelter on my bed (have to move it backwards, cut into the bed, then move it forward again).

    Intake flame heater delete

Its a 'Boss fitting', we use them a lot with hydraulics.

    2015 TX MV Rally

Where did you find the 5 ton air box and the snorkel?

    Red's deuce/camper project

Its a shurflow 2088, cost about $55 on Amazon. Doesn't flow fast (I don't want it to, better filtering).

    Red's deuce/camper project

New fuel lines are plumbed, secondary filter is upgraded to a spin on, FDC bypassed, and mostly done with removing the fuel supply for the flame heater. Need to get another 1/4" pipe plug to seal it off. Won't be by the truck this weekend so it will have to wait until Sunday night or Monday. On...

any mechanics specializing in CUCVs in OR or WA?

3 options, 1. Dual alternators as m38inmaine stated. 2. New 24 volt alternator. 3. Finish the 12 volt conversion. With the single 12 volt alternator you have it will not charge your batteries.
