I think where you are in the country has a lot to do with vehicle price also. Here in NJ I have not seen a deuce for under 4000.00 running for a long time. 5-6 years ago you could get them from G/L for 1200.00 then the prepper craze and the overseas contracts hit at the same time and the prices...
OR, Buy the rebuilt and put it in and then rebuild the one that came out and sell it. Or keep it for a spare. 2500.00 for the truck and 800.00 for a case. 3300.00 for a good truck on today's market, I guess you would offer 2500.00! I think I would offer more than that AND sign the disclaimer.

I like the spec's om your off grid system. I can tell you that the return on my 002 filled a 2 liter bottle in about 3-4 minutes. That was running the stock pumps. My only worry about the gravity setup would be getting enough flow through the pump for lubrication and cooling. If you are breaking...
The fluid will be fine but how are you going to drain the convertor? If you do not drain it then you will be mixing in the 5 or 6 quarts of regular transmission fluid with the trick shift. As long as they are compatible I see no problem but it is going to be close to a 50/50 mix. Kind of defeats...
Get a Stant 13078 thermostat. It is a 180 degree stat and you have a much better chance of getting an American made part, at least a brand name part. I have had nothing but bad luck with these fast food type parts stores. Let it idle with the heater off until the thermostat opens, you will see...
I have read through here and don't really have any suggestions for the starting problem but I do have one suggestion. When you are working on it hook up a set of jumper cables to the 009 and have that running to keep the battery charged on the generator and also to give a little more boost for...
Regular lug nuts will not get enough thread to hold and even if they do the hole is too big, not tapered and too soft. Those lug nuts are what centers the wheel and takes the load. What you are talking about doing will work in theory on an unloaded truck but if you put any weight on that setup...
Look for a CDR valve for a civilian Blazer with the diesel or any of the civilian diesel pick-up trucks. They all use the same injectors unless someone has changed them out for marine injectors.
Well sir, you are entitled to your opinion. I have never had anyone else complain about my advise in the past ten years. I guess I can see where the one negative rep I got came from. I am sorry you do not agree with me. You will notice there are others that said the same as I. I will say no...
If you are going to reply just do so from experience and not guess at it or post what you find elsewhere on the internet. Nobody slammed you, just pointed out that you were wrong in your description. You would not want to ask a question and receive bad info would you?

" A track bar and a sway bar are the same in preventing side axle movement, just different geometry. "
100% completely wrong! The first sentence in the paragraph above is also wrong. A sway bar reduces body roll by transferring weight from the loaded side to the...
People really need to read the thread from the beginning. He is getting plenty of fuel blowing out of the filter. You will NOT get a lot of fuel at the injector since there is not a lot injected at one shot. If the glow plugs are wet then he is getting fuel to the cylinders, or whatever is being...
Why?? It is cranking fine.
That is also not a good habit to get into because ALL of the newer starters use rare earth magnets in the armature and they will shatter very easily even with a light tap of a hammer.
If the glow plugs are wet then they are not heating up, even a little heat would dry them in a hurry. If they were heating up the ether would have gone Boom! The fact that it did not even burp on the ether makes me wonder, do you have any compression? Does the cranking sound normal? Have you had...
BINGO! That will work, I think if you give that answer to all the others saying the same thing it will alleviate some of the issues. I will mention it when I see the question asked.
Now, How do I get that to open when I log in?
