    m880 cargo cover

Yep for HMMWV the 7 foot by 7 foot size is what gave it away. If you can find a cargo cover for a CUCV that will work on the M880 also.

6.2 with turbo build in progress

Can you take a few pics of the completed motor before you put it in the truck as well as ones of the install in the truck?

    Cargo bed size

Thanks guys. I got the link to work for me eventually. I was wondering if the vinyl cargo cover would work on a M37 dodge, but it looks like it's way to big to use with out modification. Thanks guys and Merry Christmas!

    another 700r4 queston

Just some thoughts.... yes it will work. The 700R4 transmission is a good transmission but the early ones 1981-84 are known to be problimatic and thus the cause for people to say they are crap. If you are going through the process of pulling the transmission take the time and get it rebuilt by...

    M1028 Axles on Dodge M880

For the amount of hassle it isn't worth the effort. The Dana 44F or 44HD used on the M800 is from my research a Dana 60 housing with a Dana 44 guts. So the housing is as strong as the CUCV axle. The Dana 60 rear is as good if not better than the GM 14 bolt. Plus I would think that you would...

    Cargo bed size

:( the link doesn't seem to be working.... :( I did a google search too but didn't come up with anything. I'll try again.

    Burma Jeep

Put some Marvels Mistery oil down the spark plug holes to help lube the rings up before you turn it over (by hand of course). Most parts are off the shelf for the drive train and even the military parts are a standard for WWII so except for the sheet metal most everything should be an easy find...

    M880 grille mounted number plates

I think it's the same as an M715 or a CUCV since they are all "5/4 tons". After looking around in the CUCV forum I think 04 is the correct bridge plate number.

    Cargo bed size

I did search for this and got no answer.... so what is the basic cargo bed of the 2 door "pick-up" HMMWV? 4x6 4x8? About the same as say an M37 dodge? Thanks Joe

Right side windshield glass ( 5/8 -3/4") thick glass

Ok... I understand.... I had to go look at a picture of a HMMWV to get my head fully wrapped around this. I was thinking that windshield was like that of other MVs were left was the same as right like the letter D example I used. Maybe I should have used ( ) instead, But after looking at a...

Right side windshield glass ( 5/8 -3/4") thick glass

What??? I worked as a glazer for a few years so I know a little something about glass...I did both home and auto at the company I work at. The laminate film is in the middle. You have two pieces of glass sandwiched together with the safety film in the middle. So if you have a piece of glass...

M1008 6.2L Diesel. To Turbo or to Replace?

If you want to crawl and not run then 5:8 gears will work. Good for off roading not good for highway driving. If you want highway driving then lover gear like 3:08 work well. Good for highway not so much for off road. That is why the 4:56 are a comprimise. Ok on road ok off road. Bigger...

Need imidately pictures of Afghanistan pain scheme

Is that the paint scheme we are giving the Afgan forces? Most American forces are like I said, sand all over. Oh and can you tell us about your rims? A lot of bolts on them I am wondering about them.

    First legal M1008 ride

Let's see...no carpet, no headliner, no sound deading material in doors....Nope not loud at all. You can fix the loudness problem. Install some capet and a headliner get some sound damping for the doors and the rear of the cab. Then you'll be able to have a conversation in it. The M1009...

Ready to take the next step...WC-6 Restoration

Aaaahhh you tricked us. With both vehicles you should be able to make one good vehicle. Shame the other one was so cobbled together like it was. I would try John @ Midwest Military for the 1/2 parts. He's big into them both as a vendor and as a collector.

    Wc56

Lee, I would think that they would seal about as well as any jeep with a canvas top and doors. Someone is going to get wet. It's the law of Military Vehicles... :) I wish I could give you a better answer but I'm just making an educated guess based on 25 years of MV experience.

Ready to take the next step...WC-6 Restoration

Well... I'm not an expert but I do know how to google and if your truck is a WC-6 then you have a lot of body work ahead of you. If my search was correct and I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong but the WC-6 was a command car. DODGE WC6 WC15 WC23 1/2 TON RECONNAISSANCE CAR If you...

    A Good Repair Manual?

That's great and I've downloaded the manual for further use, but you can never have enough resources so is there a good alternative manual out there? Chilton? Haynes? etc?
