You guys are forgetting all of the electronics involved with a powerstroke. That is a LOT of wiring. The 7.3 idi is another story, all manual injection.

Sorry to hear that, I lost a dog the same way a couple of years ago and it is real hard. Anyone who has not had that happen has no idea how tough it is. You always second guess yourself thinking there was maybe something you could have done.

The gears on diesels are not always high, usually just the opposite. The highest you will find is likely 3.55. The most common will be 4.10 and if is was a stake or mini dump they could be 4.56.

The club I used to belong to was doing cleanups 20+ years ago. It does not matter because what the hikers and horse peopple see are the azzholes tearing the place up. Every kid that has a 4X4 has to show he can go further than the other guy. We used to have a couple of spots that we played in...
I can tell you that "QQ" tags, or antique tags, are not allowed off road. According to law they can only be used for going to or from a sanctioned car show. Most of the time this is not enforced on the street but it is in the woods. There are no sanctioned shows in the woods so they have every...
It is not I that is confused. I have 50 plus years of experience under my belt. Grew up on a farm so therefor learned heavy equipment and trucks at a very young age. Been doing it ever since. The reason this thread moved to being about you is because of the inconsistencies of your statements...
I know, I know, search is your friend. Search hates me! I can never seem to find the right phrase to enter. Thanks for the info, that will be reading for tonight.

A 5500 lb. trailer is RATED for carrying 5500 lbs.. What you are describing is a 9 ton trailer so my observations stand for the description given. And you can quite easily have a 20,000 lb. gooseneck trailer. I sold one last year. You sir need some education in your own professed field of...
5500 lb. trailer and two skidsteers? You must have some real small skidsteers or you overload the **** out of the trailer. That would be a huge fine for the owner of the company. A 5500 lb. trailer is going to be a ball mount or a gooseneck. I am not trying to be an azz but do you really...
Post 36 on your other thread someone pointed out a better truck that was correct, right color and closer but you wanted this one because it was red. Now you are going to cut and paste and repaint a truck that you paid too much for? You keep asking if it will pull a heavy load and everyone here...
I could spend hours just wandering your property looking at stuff all over.:grin:

BTW, Check the oil pan behind the starter and make sure it is not rusting out. Go with the later model starter, spins easier and does not draw as much power. Oh yea, it is a LOT lighter to push up there.
