Da Beast's 2nd Cruise of The Season

Ok that's what I thought. Another quick question......is that "luggage rack" on the top an antenna? It would make sense if it is.

Da Beast's 2nd Cruise of The Season

RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Da Beast So you are trying to make the commo version on the truck?

    4 color camo pattern

RE: Re: camo I like the old 4 color camo pattern, but with your top being the 3 color nato I think it would be cool to do the truck up in the 3 color.

    Theft prevention?

There is a guy who advertises in supply line who sells quick disconnect battery terminals. They are easy to use and are like $10 each. His name is Fred. He's a nice old guy.

Which Deuce has the big cargo box and how available are they

I think Scott was asking about the M109. The M292 is a big truc but wouldn't make much of a camper unless you put everything on wheels because it all has to fit into the middle of the truck when you move. The sides exspand by the walls moving out and the floor and celing folding out. They are...

Where to get Michelin XL and XML family tires?

You said that Michellin discontinued the tires. Is there a replacement for them from the company that can be purchased new?

got my first deuce how bad did i get burned?

Well Joey have you gotten it home yet? I agree with everyone else put oil in the offending gear box and drive and check and drive and check. My M35A2 use to leak out the tranny and after 30 miles looked like I had lost 40 gals. under the truck, but really only lost less than a pint. I think...

grandkiddies going for a ride in #2 Deuce

When I had my M211 my son was 14 or 15 years old. He would go with me on trips and would fall alseep every time. I got really good at "swerving" to miss something and bouncing his head off of the passingers door.... :) I miss that truck...:)

need some help with what my CUCVs are worth

They are not worth anything and you should give them to me... LOL... Just kidding. I would say the trucks can go between $4000-$6000 depending. If you want to sell them fast stay low. If they have some body damage I'd say keep the price lower. I'm not sure about the other items so I'm not...

I visited the "Mutt" factory last Week...

Does anyone know what diesel motor they are using? Not that I would want to change the perfect M151, but if one where to change what motor would work?

    M37 Gear change

Wouldn't it be easier and cheaper to reaxle the truck with say ones out of a modern dodge 2500 or a CUCV? You'de get front disk brakes and modern gearing. I to am looking at getting a M37 and making it highway friendly and was thinking of a modern drive train out of a new truck as the swap...

    1950's GMC M211

Having owned a M211 and a M35A2 I liked my 211 better. It had a "softer" ride than the M35. The brakes were much better and far eaiser to work on and adjust than the M35s and once adjusted and working properly it will stop on a dime and give 8 cents change. Its draw back is the gas motor and...

    Help with year?

Is it a M151A1 or an M151A2 by the serial number I"m leaning towards it being a M151A2 which could be a 1970 as that was the first year they came out.

    m151a1 troubleshooting questions

Didn't see an asnwer to your altinator question, but the eaisest way to change from one to the other is to put in an A2 wire harness. But, you will have to make a change on it for your oil pressure switch. They are different on an A1 and A2. Or if you want the army made a kit to change from...

Rear main replacement without removing oil pan?

No you do not have to remove the oil pan nor the bearing caps to remove the rear manin seal. A few years ago I use to have a neighbor who worked on the same motor in towmotors (fork lifts) and when I had a leak in mine he replaced it for me this way. He took a small punch and centered it on...

Any body know what this is?
