No should not have caused any damage or premature wear. It just overrides the spring brakes on the rear axles and when you set the e-brake only the mechanical brake would set and hold the vehicle until the air pressure dropped which would allow the spring brakes to set. The only problem would...
Don't know if this helps but pictures of what I did. Only running 2 batteries the 2 Hawker batteries are just setting there (to lazy to lift out). The Optimas were probably not the best choice but it's been a year and no problems.
ARYankee would like to know how your bill is going and how and who got the ball rolling on it. I would like to see the same thing here in Missouri. I know Illinois has it and it's time that Missouri looks into it. Without something like this I believe that it will keep getting harder to...
Gyrogear you are right. I think that the '84+ model and a 9 digit vin threw them into a panic. No problem with my '71 Deuce but when I bought the 923 I got the plate then 2 weeks later they told me I had to get it inspected by the Highway Patrol. I took it to the inspection station they...
Gyrogear welcome I live just north of Jefferson City off of Hwy 94. Bought a 923 from JC last year and drove it home. I love it. You probably want to look into the CDL. I did mine as a Farm truck I think it needs class "F" and I'm sure an "Air Brake Endorsment". According to State Farm in...
ARYankee if you search "Haldex Pure Air" you can get all of the .pdf files on the drier. If not let me know and I will scan them and send them to you. Their not real through but it will get you through it. If not they sell a factory rebuilt and you send them the old core. Good Luck!!!
ShermHook I too had the same problem and pulled the Haldex air drier and replaced the desiccant filter the collessing filter the dump valve and pressure relief cleaned it up and reinstalled it and it works fine. I ordered all my parts from Ryder Truck. Not a bad job for the weekend. Best of Luck.
Suprfknman I had replied to another thread, but I'm about 20 miles from Jefferson City. I've bought 2 trucks from that location in the past. If it's for the auction next week I will be out of town. If it's for a later auction I would be glad to look at what ever you are interested in just let...
Welcome from the great state of Missouri (Misery). Great to have members from Italy. Carlos is a wealth of information and an all around good guy. If we can be of any help please let us know.
I'm guessing it would be tough. I think it can be done but a lot of leg work, phone calls and trips to the Highway Patrol office. The last truck I titled I had to have the VIN verified and all kinds of title problems and thats with a SF-97. Best of luck.
Guns I live about 20 miles from the Ike Skelton facility. I don't know if I will be in town to help. I've picked up 2 trucks from that location and Mike has had to help me start both of them. I don't know if your truck will run but if you running short on time you are more than welcome to...
I hate snow but I sure like the truck. I opened the garage door and mine wouldn't come out and play in the snow. I don't think it like the snow either.
