This the truck?
I often haul nice loads in my tipper. It has 11R20's and can run 62-63mph empty. I don't run over 55 loaded and stay off the freeways. I can't overload the truck because the box isn't big enough.
My 1008 did this when I got it. After inspection I found that the bolts were backing out of the torque converter to flexplate. I bought new converter bolts and replaced them along with a new flexplate. There was one less bolt in the flexplate housing than bolts required when I disassembled it...
I think some of the earlier M35 gasser's could have their numbers on the passenger side of the truck. Someone with more knowledge will correct me if this is incorrect.
Well, Indiana is right between Ohio and Illinois so, I have used these guys with excelent results.

The Antarctic Cruiser!
This vehicle has been mentioned several times before on SS.
There was a time in the 1970's when it was offered free to anyone that wanted to find and recover it. The camp where it was last located is believed now to have sunk into the Antarctic Ocean after melting by...
The XM381 had a wheelbase of 136". It did not have a M105 bed. It had a measurement of 66" cab to rear axle with the modified cargo bed that it was equipped with.

For those coming late to this thread it was correctly identified on page one.
Also, it's correct weight would be closer to 51 tons normal load, they are 93,000 lbs dry net weight,(M60A1 would be 53 tons).
I lengthen the drive shaft 5.75" to allow the center of axle to be in middle of the fenderwell and have the M105 bed as far forward as possible without interference and not cut up the front of it. I have only used the original would spacer between the bed and trailer bed.
There is no "nowdays" to it and the system has been broke a very long time. Criminals come from everywhere and that includes corporate board rooms to the pool hall on the back alley.
It's just more people have the time to bitch and moan about it and the internet to reach a larger audience.
I...
I think they were asking about the 15x8"wide 6 hole C-K half ton pickup/blazer/1009 wheels.
GM did use some with the standard design versus the usual "rally style" wheel but, they were not a common ordered option on cheaper priced models. I had an original set once off a late 70's K10 pickup...
While I don't need theft problems anymore than the rest, I think I would rather lose some fuel than have to replace/repair fuel tanks. It got interesting around here 3 years ago when fuel was near $5 a gal. There were some noticeable "smokers" traveling the township roads. Seems they must have...

I don't have the specifications of the tire lift so it is possible that it's requirements might be more than the hydraulic pump on the dump truck. The 11.5' Marshall plow is not a lightweight and the system sometimes powered both it and the rear mounted salt spreader at the same time with the...
