My David Brown key is bigger than a lawnmower key!
I looked at some of the "keyed" kill switches. Some I could operate with my Sears garden tractor key and some my Ford and David Brown keys. They keys were too generic. That's why I decided on the lock down switch instead.
I used to move that mount truck to truck whenever I got a new one. It freed up bedspace, and the hitch I had didn't allow for an under the truck bed carrier.
Well, it isn't a CUCV but, I used to carry my spare up front while hauling a camper, hauling up to 6 horses and never had any cooling problems. Also on my plow trucks cooling wasn't a problem either because I unhooked the spring on the fan clutch every winter when using my plow.
I just picked one up and drove it 976 miles home. I never saw it before my pickup date except in pics. All the tires were aired up. It needed a short boost to start. Had to force the last of the 10 gal. of fuel I brought with me to the tank as it had plenty in there already. I added 911 diesel...
I agree. The #1 culprit in this accident was it was too light on the hitch weight. There was a lot of weight loaded rearward of the axles. Tail wagging the dog is never good.
I'm sure there have been farther but, maybe not colder then the 976 mile ride I just took with no defrost or heater. Brrrrrrrrrrr! Mine has the "spring seat" and I got along well with it.
