    Deuce winch kit price??

Heath, From what i understand most electrical winches shouldn't be cycled for more then 1 minute constantly to avoid them running too hot, and once its been used it has to sit for 20 mins to cooldown before you should start using it again as a best practice. Those 2 points alone at least tells...

    Dumb MRAP question

Shoot, could have been cool to have one, without all the armour on it. Bet it moves faster then :P

    Deuce winch kit price??

Heath, I would think most winches these days are electrical versus the PTO mechanical for the M35. In that particular situation I would think I would personally opt for PTO vs electrical simply due to the issue that all electrical winches has cycling issues, in that you can't keep them running...

    Off Road Lighting

+1 to the IBIS Lightbars. A few weeks ago I got a tour of a MRAP-Cougar which had all the IBIS bars, both on the front and the sides, buy those suckers are pretty bright and reaches out.

    Mercedes-Benz Armoured Vehicles Road Test

I wouldn't mind one of the Zetros'. And I wouldn't care whether it was armoured or not :P. But I wouldn't mind a 4x4 or 6x6 g-wagon either. I'm surprised at how well they handle offroad, if you can manage the rough ride yourself <.<

Saved another one from the crusher/scrap yard.

What is so special about the hummer that makes it impossible to buy as a civilian. Its not as if its armoured or anything and in that aspect more or less just a bigass 4x4. I mean where I live most of the MV's are getting Demilled or sent back to the company they were bought for, primarily...

    Dumb MRAP question

I find that very strange, because our armed forces (Danish Military) has leased 20 or so Cougars from the US armed Forces and the conditions are that we pay the running costs for the vehicles which amounts to rough 2-3 USD a month pr vehicle, or so I have been told. I just find it very very hard...

    Reverse / Backup Camera

Robo Mcduff is indeed correct. And Robo don't forget the sideprotection bars to prevent bikeriders to go under the truck as well ;) But below is a segment of the european rules for the under-ride protection, just for reference. Not sure if the same rules applies for the US or not but I would...

    Reverse / Backup Camera

My company car had parking sensors both front and back. Made parking more of a breeze but also makes you a bit too comfortable to rely on the sensors for input :P. Furthermore I had close to a foot of leeway when the sensor sounded for impact. Some sensors triggers by anything the size of a...

Attention!! Please use caution when driving vehicles home from auction!

Anyone who buys a MV and doesn't give it a thorough inspection AND knows the vehicle is just asking for serious trouble. But sadly the thorough inspection practice doesn't just relate to retired MVs etc.... Being active in the national guard I happen to come across a lot of active MV vehicles...

    Hydraulic Conversion of PTO Winch

Sorry if I sound a bit stupid but how does this setup link up?. A shaft from your transmission drives a hydraulic motor, which in turn pumps hydraulic fluid which turns the winch. Or is that entirely misunderstood? Secondly, wouldn't it be possible to "control" both a front and rear mounted...

The Military is starting to scare me...

The one I saw in the jeep had 2-3 "holes" inside and wasn't receeded like the plug on the picture :) Thanks for the kind words. Actually Christiansfeld isn't that far from where I live :). The city I live in is right where Little Belt is, or rather where the 2 bridges are :P, so I happen to go...

    Winch Safety and Recovery Dangers

So there isn't a specific TM just covering Winching and "wrecking"?. While I am not an expert at this game I have at least tried it a few times as part of my military vehicle certification. But I am always willing and wanting to learn more about this particular "game", to the point of chasing...

The Military is starting to scare me...

Thanks for that bit of info Sigo. I was just curious really, but here standards can slip as well, but if the standards slips and an accident occurs as the cause of it then its down to the individual driver so decline to drive any vehicle he is not trained or certified for, or he takes the full...

    M35A2 Crew cab w/ tandems

It looks good, but I would be a bit concerned about length if I was to take it mudding. To many humps and I would think it would get stuck on a "hill" with that axle distance.

HOW MANY DUECES HAVE CENTER MOUNTED TROOP SEATS???

Here in DK centermounted seats are pretty common for our military trucks for personnel transport. And I actually thought it was a pretty common setup among military forces. But as far as I recall, the seats on our M.A.N 8's and 10's are just securely bolted to the floor of the bed but not...

    RC model of an M35A2

Around the 30 second marker or a few seconds before you actually see the wheels are turned slightly and then he corrects to go straight and then turns them a bit again.

    charcoal lighter fluid?

According to his comments I take it he is referring to a VW Passat, and i am guessing 90-00 model 1.9L Turbo Diesel and I think it had around 100-105 HP or something like that

Greeting from the land of €1.80 per liter fuel

I live in the land of crazy (Euro land) like Carlo and yes the fuel prices here are insane. However AFAIK I would only get a fine if I try to run a car/truck/vehicle on farm diesel/petrol since its non-taxed and coloured. Since they would dip the tank and thus determine that the colour of the...

The Military is starting to scare me...

Wouldn't most whiskers have the rotor clutch out when parked?, ie that the rotor is not engaged?. If the rotor is not engaged, then powered up the engines shouldn't technically do anything other then power them up. Only when you engage the rotors the fun bits should start. But yea scary...
