Your actuator isn't lifting off the magnet when you engage the starter!
By staying on the magnet fuel is prevented from being sent from the new metering pump to the injector.
It's cranking kind of slow. Maybe not enough voltage to cause the governor controller to pop the actuator off the...
The conversion involves removing the inverter, PMA and SLC100 Governor Controller module.
Relocating the J7 connector to make room for the gen head
Installing the new gen head and installing the conversion kit.
The kit includes:
New Governor Controller module to maintain 3,600 RPM for 60 Hz...
The fuse is on the output side of the voltage regulator. After replacing the fuse and before starting it I'd suggest checking the Static Exciter resistance using it's 2 connections to the VR to be sure the resistance is in spec and that there isn't any continuity from either lead to chassis ground.
Unfortunately Northern Tool hasn't carried that gen head for a few years.
Yes, the Northern Tool gen head does fit on the Yanmar in the 831A. I have one on an 831 in my garage. Pic below.
The equivalent gen head can be purchased from Mecc Alt. I've bought a few of them from them the last...
I purchased most of my solar equipment and batteries from Alte Store. ---> Alte Store
They are about 30 minutes from my house.
They have lots of good videos and articles for those getting into solar.
There is a YouTube channel by Will Prowse. He has hundreds of videos on product reviews of...
I do have a non-grid tied solar setup for both augmenting utility power and to silently power the house through most utility outages.
It consists of 1.8 KW of solar panels, MPPT Solar Charge Controller, 14.4 KWH LIFEPO4 48 volt battery bank, and 2 different inverters.
One inverter is a 1.5 KW...
Meters have issues measuring really low resistances like that.
Try this. Touch the two meter probes together and read the resistance. Make note of it. Then re-measure the resistor. Now take the resistor resistance reading and subtract the reading with the two meter probes. This will be...
If TRC then you need a RCR32G1R0JS 5905-01-177-2816 resistor.
Nothing special. It's just a 1 Ohm 1 Watt 5% tolerance resistor.
You can use one of these for R16. Resistor ---> Resistor
