FYI there are two different relays used in there. The 2 left relays K12 & K14 are 24 DC coils. The rightmost relay K15 has a 120 VAC coil.
Some people accidentally plug a 24 volt one in the K15 position. Not good for the relay coil and the poor LED inside the relay! Poof!
John,
With the S1 in RUN depress the lens of the contactor lamp and verify it illuminates.
Are any Fault Lamp ON when the set is running? In none are illuminated then depress the Test/Reset button on the fault panel and verify all the lamps illuminate.
If all the above check out then...

No diagram that I know of for the stator. It's just the 6 power windings and the Quad winding.
#13 is essentially a Zip tie.
The leads of the Exciter have female spade lugs on them. They get connected to #10. Then the two Exciter wires from the head are also connected to #10.
In the first cranking video showing the fuel solenoid I spotted an issue. The fuel solenoid is not causing the arm on the side of the governor to fully rotate to the RUN position. It should rotate and contact the head of the lower adjustment screw. Failure to do so will cause the fuel rack to...
Yes, the Quad winding is part of the main Stator windings. The Quad winding is what provides the ~69 VAC to power the A1 VR.
I'd suggest checking the wires where they exit the gen head. I've encountered a few sets where one of the wires from the Quad winding have been broken there. Next check...
Simply connect my two 2-Wire Start wires to the relay or switch contacts. Set the AGS-N to utilize the 2-wire constant mode.
A pic from the AGS-N manual. One of these modes where RY1 is closed during the generator run period.
When the contacts CLOSE and remain closed the Remote Start will...
If your up for one I'll get the boards on order.
Will take about 7-10 days for the bare circuit boards to arrive and then a few days of assembly and test before they can ship.
Ditto on DieselAddict's conclusion. The speed controllers or Governor Controllers are notorious for going flakey on the 831's.
I have both types of Governor Controllers in stock should you decide you'd like one.

They were certainly cheaper at auction back in 2014. My 1,200 hour 802A that I picked up in 2014 was $715. Picked it up at Ft Meade. Just needed a new S1 and the petcock soldered back on the radiator. Still using it.
