Ok, here is a list of part numbers to cross over.
Alcoa 5995R/L (or 599501/599502)
Batco 13-3054R/L
BWP M-3208/9
GLP-2103/4
Leland W-506/7
Meritor R005995R/L
Thanks Gimp. Been too busy to post much lately. Just surf a little when I can.
Ok, so I picked up a couple of these today while I was out.
First impression is that they should work GREAT!
Now, to find some time to pull a wheel off, take off the thimble, and put it back on and try one of these...
I plan on grabbing a couple to see how much thread engagement there is, etc. Need to find a local truck shop that will have them in stock.
Figured it wouldn't hurt to ask if anyone had tried them.
Search didn't show these part numbers coming up anywhere on the site, even google search. So I...
Ok, so instead of running the regular nut from the front, or cutting down the thimble from the stock rears. How about using these lugnuts for the double layer super singles.
5995L and 5595R (also listed as 599501 and 599502) ?
Alcoa makes these lug nuts for running rims on our lug centered...
Thanks Josh.
I wasn't SURE I was going to be bringing it back this time.
I have a spare top, but it is VERY dry, and I think that length of a trip would have torn it up.
Btw, at 60 mph, a deuce is NOT fuel efficient!
On a good note, I have the fuel dialed in!
It took a 7% grade for over a mile...
I originally picked three up from Kliever Armory in portland.
I lived in N CA at the time, and took them all down there. After I moved up to WA, it took a bit to get all three of them back north.
Well, we FINALLY got our last deuce up north!
Just rolled in a few minutes ago.
It had been having issues with the brakes being soaked with gear oil because the seals were bad. Then the bearings gave me some headaches.
Drove down 7.5 hours, adjusted the bearings. One was still getting hot, so I...
A week late, but I just picked up another M1009.
It wouldn't have fit in though, the local PD had painted it WHITE of all things...
Could have had the total count one higher!
As for the route, I tried to make it as interesting as possible without having to travel as far as we have in the past...
Comms is something we have failed at every year so far. The little civy radios didn't work last year. And I didn't even bother this year (sorry Aaron .... :( )
As for the Tires, you were a real source of humor for this year!
A LOT of good fun was had this weekend!
Good humor, good food, good BS....
Thanks again Amber and Aaron!
You are getting very good at setting this up and pulling it off. It is hard enough to plan something like this, and still be able to handle the random attendees.
Hope everyone makes it home...
Truck up here was used as a fire truck out on the logging roads. Supposed to drive around just fine.
Don't think the fire equipment is military at all.
Seems to want a fair price for it. Not sure what the one you are looking at is selling for.
Turn signals completely gave up the ghost on my m818. And I don't seem to be home enough to trouble shoot them!
Kinda bad when I am supposed to be leading the convoy!
Ray, I have a 12' slave cable, and I usually have to fight to make it worth. Great to use for powering tools/pumps/etc from the slave port, but a PITA at times for slave starting vehicles.
I would guess a 25' or so slave cable would meet most of my needs. I could always make an adapter to link a...
